I'm still a bit iffy with the eye colour, they don't look fully back in the pictures (bub 2 and 3) Bub 1 is feathering like a normal. The face the other two don't have the black spots (and darker fluff) makes we think again of Ino's.

Sebby will give the fallow gene to all the bubs (carrying it) My thoughts all are looking GREAT The third oldest? the very white/pink one (in the last picture facing down in the middle) may be different from normal. There are signs that it might be opaline.

That is not the normal placement of the beak and so can't be left like that. As Kaz said scaly face mites can cause the beak to grow long and out of shape. If you have an avian vet I would make an appointment. The beak may need to be trimmed into the correct placement again.

others have let their birds out while breeding. And if you think about it in the wild the male would have to fly a bit aways to get the seeds to feed them all. And the 5 mins or so off sounds normal.

I have seen results of spangle to spangle with better markings, but there are breeders out there that like spangle to normal. In the end it's your choice. Macka what is your thoughts? Spangle to what?

They can be a touch noisy at feeding times, early morning is the worst for me. I've had breeding birds in my room and I was able to sleep well... although I am a heavy sleeper.

I got an egg from Daz which I believe he had tucked away safely for about a week, that had never started incubation, and once under my hen developed normally. Egg can also continue growing with a short pause after incubation has started.(such as a day or maybe two) It is very exciting time for you and the questions are understandable.

Hi Bux and welcome to the site. As other have said Quarantine is important. As to taming it is easier to tame one at a time you can spend the Quarantine time really working on your new one Bloo. I don't believe that a bird is too old to be tamed it just takes more work on your part to gain their trust. Well I'm very shocked to hear a Pet shop employee getting it right! They normally see the blue and tell people they are males. Yes Female baby budgies will have blue or white or mixed pink with white rings around the nares. The fact that the head bars at still to the cere means she isn't old enough to be changing to a the male blue colour. I've had hens that blue as a baby before.

Creamino is another name for a Yellow face Albino. They are also called YF Ino's. Paul this means your hen is split for blue. I think your Grey's look great.

I've had an egg with a large bubble just like that a few days before hatching and a bub still appeared. Those pictures are just a guide, the fact that you egg has veins means it's different from what they are talking about on that site. Re-sitting the eggs lay dormant for that short period and so I would add another day or two to the expected hatching date.

Yes not your fault at all Neat. Leave it all for another day she may start sitting again. If not she might even start her cycle again and restart cleaning the nest for the second round.
