She could have had a fight with the dad, the bubs or even just scared herself and hit a box. It should have stopped bleeding by now. If she isn't having trouble standing on a perch or eating and drinking this is a good sign. If still trouble you can take the family to a avian vet for her to be check on.

okay Daz here is my thoughts: Pair 3 are the parents. Simply becuase you didn't tell us the colour of the hen. All other pairs are of the blue line. pair 1 - should have only cinnnamons pair 2 - only blue babies, spangle, normal or DF.

One is from a friend that I use as hospital/ travel cage when needed. It is been left resting for a while after a BIG clean out after having a lost canary in it for a while. Two others I got about 1/2 a year ago from family that had teils in them. I have never used them as yet, one is very rusty and I've only kept it becuase it is the same shape as the travel cage and I can use the plastic base as a replacement if needed. Also the nest boxes can with the aviary and I have cleaned them. Thrown out some and left the others (in the shed) in cause I could re use them later.

I remember you taking Lukie on holidays with you (or asked about it) so I'm sure there is a cage that is left open all day. This is correct isn't it? The ignoring him until he is quiet is good, as well as a 'time out' session. This has worked for others. A new toy ( more more) can also help the behaviour.

Thanks guys after thinking and talking about it for a while it's good to make a big step like this. Feathers Yes I am I was made a member of Pine River Budgie Club the other week. I felt it was the best way to learn more on other aspects in keeping these stunning birds. So far I have two pairs in mind for later. Poka - recessive pied green/blue and Elle - YF normal/recessive pied. and Thistle - violet spangle and Squeaker - YF normal/opaline/Clearbody

Remember to quarantine the new birds Allen. Good for you to take them in. The friendly one might help with the other not to be afraid of humans later.

Thanks guys. Just so it's clear the shelves where already there I just had to get them moved to the right hight. and clean it out of all the junk. This shows (i hope) the placement of the shed that is to become the breeding area and the aviary.
