My Bird Equipment Purchase
I must say Macka it didn't seem right to me I've seen them at the bird sales and I didn't recall that being the explanation there. I'm picking it up next weekend so I'll be able to have a proper look then.

My Bird Equipment Purchase
I've seen them at the bird sales, AV and I were trying to remember, I think they were about $70 maybe more. Wait till I pick mine up, we might be able to make them

Now that you say it I can see the iris rings too, she seems older than what they told you, is she from a pet shop?

Lorikeet Food
If you are just wanting to get rid of it I'll gladly pay postage, we get the odd wattlebird and lorikeet through wildlife rescue plus I have two of my own so every bit helps.

Lorikeet Food
I wouldn't, it probably wouldn't hurt them in small amounts but they are not made to eat it so in the long run it would be very bad for them

What's With This ?
Best bet would be to simply take the newspaper out

Blue and the Vet Visit
Can you just unclip the top and take the top off and leave him on his perch? If he is this sick he isn't going to reinfect himself until he is actually better anyway. Unless his cage is REALY dirty and desperately in need of a clean I would leave him until atleast tomorrow until he is feeling a little better rather than stressing him out again today

Blue and the Vet Visit
Is this the same vet sa last time or a differfent one?

Blue and the Vet Visit
If he doesn't think it is bacterial why is he giving Baytril? It is a broad spectrum antibiotic. Also personally I wouldn't call 4 'senior' for a pet budgie. Many pet budgies live as long as 10 or more years, show types not as long but I thik that is more because their lives are more stressful with breeding, etc. Is this the same vet you saw the other day?

Bereaved Mother
You can leave as many of the babies in with her as you want, of course don't put the nest box back in though Sorry about the loss of your male. In order to stop it happening again get a piece of netting and hang it over the door, that way you can put the netting over you before opening the door and it will reduce the chances of another one getting out.

Apparently you put a vacuum cleaner nozzle inthe top and pour the seed in and the husks are light so they get sucked up and the seed falls into the drawer at the bottom
-
Blue and the Vet Visit
Rather than dipping him in the water you could always just get him as clean as possible with a damp facewasher

My Bird Equipment Purchase
I have to get myself one of those bagless vacuum cleaners now as you power it with a vacuum cleaner, and it would cost me a fortune in vac bags otherwise
-
My Bird Equipment Purchase
Bought myself one of those things for recycling your seed (removing husks), plus 3 tiel nest boxes and a older style budgie show(practice) cage all for less than $50. This is the bird seed saver:
