Anyone Got Any Idea's
Fallows don't have eyes as pale as an albino so it is possible. I know your impatient but give it a few weeks and it will all become clear

Elly means 1/2 inch As far as a budgie goes there is a big difference between 1 1/2cm and 2 cm so you really need to measur it properly with a decent ruler. A budgie cage should have spacing of around 1.2cm although a large budgie(show type) would be okay with 1.5cm

Chicks In The Nestbox
I would be very surprised if the moths caused FM, we have a lot of problems with them at my place and I've never had a FM bird

Swingers?
Just make sure that you keep a close eye on them so youi don't have faighting between the hens

Un Tame
You need to cover the cage when you are training him so he can't see it. At the moment he sees it as a safe place so until he sees you as a safe place it needs to be out of sight.

Hen On 6 Eggs
I think maybe you're getting confused with the advice that you shouldn't give you babies greens in the nest box to pick at as it doesn't provide enough nutrients for them and can give them the runs, there is nothing wrong with providing the parents a good varied diet though, they will choose the most appropriate foods to eat out of what is offered while they are feeding chicks. I have a cock who won't eat soaked crumbles any other time but when feeding chicks he absolutely devours them.

Getting A New Bird!
I would except my best friend has a dog called Suzie Quatro and she said I'm not allowed to give her Quatro as a last name I think it would be a little cheeky to call her mate that instead My mum wants me to call him Sargeant Pepper, cos he always has his little crest up andshe reckons he looks like he's got one of those old army helmets with the sticking up feathers on them. (oh, and also she says because it;s clear his mate wants nothing to do with him so he's part of the 'lonely hearts club band'

Weirdo!
He sounds bored, have they got plenty of toys? The behavior might settle once you have the larger cage

If egg two is viable then yes you would expect it tomorrow if laid only one day later.

Would This Be A Problem?
I have had tiny ones in a nest of larger ones with no probs. Best bet is to have some handrearing formula on hand just incase and if it looks like the tiny ones are missing out take the biggest one or two out and finish rearing them yourself. Another method I have used is to hold the larger ones while she feeds the littlies and then put the big ones back but you need to make sure they don't miss out alltogether (not likely as they will generally harrass for food at that stage) Or you can also put the older couple in a seperate cage with dad if he is feeding and leave mum with the little ones.

Getting A New Bird!
Well, he's home! Suzie saw him from the other side of the room as I carried him in and well, let's just say when they do meet it will be with the safety of bars between...she definately wanted to eat him!!! So it will be a few more weeks of quarantine and then a gradual intro starting with cages next to each other until the urge to kill subsides

Homemade Bird Cage Cleaner
I have a spray bottle in my cleaning cupboard with 1:3 vinegar to water in it. It's an excellent cleaner and disinfectant. It's great for benchtops, stoves and even for bathrooms. It's also really good for cleaning windows and is safe to use to clean the front glass of your fishtank and to wipe it out if you need to empty it for some reason to disinfect it and to clean the cover glasses, and for cleaning the bird cage. Unlike the lemon juice one (which is also really good) you won't need to discard it so you can keep it in the cupboard for your day to day cleaning needs

My Attempt At Breeding Update
Ummm.. AV there is a possibility that I may only be able to take one budgie. The childcare center has just informed the chick that runs the toddler room that they aren't allowed to have one in the two younger rooms She's devastated as she had a big cage set up for him and everything She's going to double check with the other carer incase she wants to keep one herself as a home pet but if anyone contacts you don't knock them back quite yet. Bec, who's taking the other one is sick and won't be back until Wednesday but I'll ask her which colour she wants when I see her.

Egg
Lily your best bet would be to have a good read of the FAQs section as this has everythng you need to know. But to answer your basic questions. She may not sit on it unitl she has layed a few more, they are viable for up to about a week before she needs to sit on them so don't worry. As far as candling(the torch) there is no point yet as you be able to see anything for about 4-5 days after she starts sitting, then you should start to see little red veins initially.

My Mad Dash To The Doctor
Right on the soft part of my foot is exactly where the bee stung me too Libby. Even worse because I'm allergic to bees and my foot was so swollen I was on crutches for nearly a week (just wonderful with a one year old and a 3 year old to look after on my own ) I don't have the luxury of walking outside with no shoes on, I just can't take the risk unfortunately but one doesn't expect to have to wear shoes in your bedroom to guard against bees! Oh, and here's a gross one for you! As prt of my uni degree we did a botany field trip into far north queensland in the rainforest. Out in the forest, in the rain for 10 hours a day with thousands of LEECHES. Five people got leeches in their EYES!!! It was about 4 months before the bite marks finally began to fade off my legs and hips

Cubic Metres
To give yourself a bit of leeway you would need about a quarter of a cubic metre of mixed cement (or concrete)
