Let us know which Hospital you will be in Birdluv. We will all send cards & send Get Well Wishes after your surgery on your arm. Having to leave your arm in the cage for 30 minutes at a time can be tedius painful work & many of us have had our arms fall right off when we've done this too. So we know what your going thru ! Hang in there ... it will get better. I'm sure being away a couple of days made them weary thats all.

I think the Weebil will draw blood from the g/f. She is afraid of him & he knows it.

My hen has been very hands on lately. More & more she has been coming to the front of the cage & whisper talks to me while I am reading or working. I talk back to her & ask her questions & she answers in the sweet chitty chat way. Staring me in the face. While she ignores the Weebil. Lately I've been taking her on little walks thru the house. Since the "GREAT WING CLIP of 2008" she knows she can't get to far without me. SHE EATS TOO MOISH ... SHE TOO DARN FAT TO FLY ! So we wander around from room to room while she sits on my hand or fingers & I talk to her softly & we stop at the windows & sliding doors to the deck & she sees birds flying around & the bright sunlight. I was happy she allowed me to stroke her head recently. She has beens molting & has some annoying itchy feathers up there. So she liked that & didn't fuss. No bites ! THIS BIRD DOESN'T BITE at all ... but will back her head away, she doesn't want to be touched much either. As for step up & walkies ... no problem she will do it. Today we walkie'd around & visited the sites again. She was impressed with the sunshine on the windows & the bright light & warmth. She snuggled into my face & rubbed her head on my scruffy chin & I KISSED HER. Total shock ... for both of us. She didn't move away. I didn't either. My lips sat on my little yellow Angels head for a minute or more while I whisper kissed her noggin & told her she was a Angel & I loved her. My girlfriend is not speaking to me now & has thrown a pillow & blanket on the sofa & shut the bedroom door against me. Oh well .... it's not as bad as I thought it would be. At least she didn't start packing her bags. YET.

NORM ! I will take one of each ! Man they are sweet. I love the colors. Nice pics of them in the bowls. Makes their colors stand out.

Gee's Feathers, ... so sorry to hear this guys sick. I hate to think how worried & sad you are too. It's so hard to care & love these amazing little birds that can't tell us WHATS WRONG. Lot's of kisses & cuddles are definately in order. This is mandatory ! So smooch & whisper your love to him. It will help you a little & make him know how much you love him. What an amazing story Chryso ... & yet kind of sad too. I guess we do take things for granted. I am wondering what her world looked like where she grew up & how strange it would make me feel to see it & know the differences we have. We share the same planet ... we are all the same people inside, blood & hearts & souls ! Yet different Worlds. And here I am about what ? 4-5000 miles away from you all in OZ ? & other places & I can smile & laugh & talk to you here in BBC everyday & see your smiling faces on your photos & your birds. What a Wonderful World. Eh ?

Kaz ... I did a study on these dirty dang beasty bugs in University. And one of the main thing we were told by professional exterminators was is that roaches are attracted to NEWSPAPER. People often use newspapers to line shelves in pantrys or cupboards or drawers with the paper & then found they were overwhelmed by these industrious bugs. Cockroaches are also attracted to wallpaper because of the paste or glue on the back. The paste has a flour which is a gluten they eat. They will also crawl into your phone or tv, radio or any electrical appliance & chew the rubber insulation off the wires to live if they cannot find any other food once they are in your home. They like newspapers because it is where they lay their egg pouch & the pouch stays warm & hidden in the paper. The babys hatch & can live off the paper fiber as it also is a gluten base. GLUTENS are what is starch, starches that are in pasta, breads & rice. Newspapers are recycled paper made with a flour base & shredded paper fiber. Each cockroach is built to have both the male & female sexual organs. They can meet up with ANY another cockroach even of the same sex & mate ONCE & only once & both roaches will now have enough sperm & eggs inside them to lay eggs for up to 5 years. 5 YEARS ! Providing nobody finds them running across the kitchen floor & squishes them before they or it hides or gets away. That's 5 years too much time for baby laying egg pouches for me ! HEAT & high warmth are a major contributor to why roaches can be hanging around. This is the temperature they need to multiply & lay egg pouches. Because their pouches of babys can't hatch in the cold. THUS THE NEED FOR NEWSPAPER. Newspaper is a warm insulator. We have this cockroach chalk here in Ontario. It comes from China. It's also called BABY CHALK because its safe to write lines on the floor or walls where babys will touch. It's sold in most hardware stores. It's pet friendly. A cat or dog can lick it & it won't affect them. So it should be safe for birds. You can draw lines around areas that the roaches go. If they have to climb up the walls to get into the feed dishes then draw lines around the aviary walls & lower. Anywhere the bug will cross. It will drop the bug to the floor & it dies. I hope this helps. I HATE THESE DANG BUGGIES. But learning about them was fascinating. But it still won't stop me from killing one if & when I'd see one. Good luck with your problem. Oh ya ... Boracic or Borasic Acid Powder ... which is an eye wash & sold in Pharmacy's is also used to kill & control cockroaches. I don't know if it's safe around your birds. I would think it be somewhat safe. You use it to wash your eyes !

Just who is responsible for the large amounts of VIAGRA that is being slipped into the budgie seed lately ? HMMMMM ? These POOR POOPED HENS ... they just don't have it easy ... do they ? You got me on this one maesie ... I would separate them & put them in 2 cages instead of one. It would be annoying for your Dad who has to tend to 2 cages instead of one. But ... it would be harder for TT to do the wild thing between 2 sets of bars, & Crackle can still visit with him & be company but not have to put up with his demands. I don't know if a mirror will make much of a difference. TT has the URGE & he ain't about to be denied ! How about one of them fake budgie buddy's in their or his cage ? One of those ones that look like they are stuck on a perma ball ... they wiggle & jiggle like jello & never say NO ! or I REALLY HAVE A HEADACHE ! DARN MEN ARE SUCH ANNOYING THINGS AREN'T WE ? I blame it on SPRING & hormones in the water. Actually Maesie ... in all honesty. I would be scared or concerned if Crackle " CRACKS ? " & goes nuts & attacks TT . Hens can make a mess of a male bird if they don't want to mate or put up with his demands. How do you think your Dad could put up with an attack ? He'd be really upset & would he know how to give first aid ? I would hate to see anyone taking care of my birds have to witness a PMS HEN after a mate or male bird. That is one scary scene !!!!! You kinda have a problem here. I hope someone can give you some good ideas how to deal with your boy. Did you think about less day light for the birds ... keeping them in the dark a little longer during the day ? Would that help ? I dunno ... Good luck with this. OH GREAT ... NOW I FIND OUT YER BIRDS ARE IN AN AVIARY ? That doesn't help much with bringing in a fake budgie does it ... DUH. NEVER MIND !

Gee's JimmyB ... you're killing me man ! I WANT ONE OF THEM KK's SO BAD ! I was thinking I just might get in the car & go get me some. But then I'd have to spend at least $8.00 worth of gas to get to where the factory drive thru is. Stand in the drive thru lane about 2 or more hours in the car, with the motor running to keep warm cause it's so dang cold here EVEN THOUGH IT'S OFFICIALLY SPRING ! And then I'd waste another $8.00 worth of gas to trudge back to the city hoping I don't fall asleep on the way home from pigging out on some stooopid donuts that are suppose to be better then SEX ! Somehow ..... It just doesn't add up. I will stay home & hope that dang Bunny has a heart of gold & brings me some KK's instead of his regular chocolate wabbit or some stinky colored hard boiled eggs.

Take it to a self serve car wash & power hose the poopers away. Or teach Merlin to use the loo & toilet paper. He's smart enough to know how by now ! Dirty dirty BIRD !

This gives you time to get that new cage & start getting ready Keisha ! The eggable to hatchable & then on to fledgeables won't be ready for a while. Are you going to visit them often & watch them grow & feather ? I think that would be so cool ! You can tell everyone you saw your bub when it was just a bud ! An ugly pink wobbly big eyed long neck weebly squawking wheezing freaky baby with a gigantic smiley mouth demanding food while it huddled in the corner of the nest box with the other bubs. While they is a poopin every 2 minutes, I almost forgot the poopin part. Dang they are so cute like that !

When I first heard him saying " Give me a kiss " or " Give us a kiss " I thought ewwww ... NOW ... THAT SOUNDED FREAKY EVIL ! (Laughing out loud) His little voice sounded like some creepy evil guys voice I've heard in some movie. I was thinking, " OH MAN ... THAT'S WEIRD ! WHO IS THAT ? Donald Trump, Hannibal Lector or Prince Charles ? " Scary. But he is certainly an Entertaining little budgie !

That GEORGE ... when he means business .... HE MEANS BUSINESS ! WAY TO GO STUD MAN ! ... I MEAN BIRD ! OKAY ... someone show me a picture or send me to a link of " EGG BUM " please ? I gotta check this out. I suppose its not too obvious be cause KAZ didn't see the lovely Amira with a case of it. But my sicker sense of adventure must see a case of this .... ! In the meantime. I am chilling Champagne for the big hatching. I've ordered the party favors & will notify the Media of the birthing process when the time comes. Ain't love GRAND ! Wow ... George works fast. They didn't even get time to paint the house before she plopped out a couple of Oceans 14's offsprings.

FLAT PACKING ? What is flat packing ? I have visions of a package/or envelope that is FLAT with a small bump in it. It neither peeps or chirps & the contents that plop out of the package will not be able to sit on a perch once unpacked from its FLAT PACKING ... cause its FLAT & DEAD ! The only reason its standing on its perch is because its " NAILED TO IT'S PERCH !" Beautiful Plumage the norwegian blue dead budgie ! Or does Flat Packing come with budgie bubble wrap ? Give the little boid something to pop at & keep him or her busy while being shipped around the country in a package/envelope without an air hole for AIR. You peoples are sure strange about delivery methods.

Spray it with what Elly ? BIRD BE GONE ? If you put a little dress over the outside of the cage ... you can spray inside it & it will protect the cage from that nasty ole snow. It should work out fine. Your office/den sounds great. So you got a new set up & can't wait to bring home da boy & show him the new layout. I'm sure he will love running all over your new big desk & stealing your pens paperclips & anything else he wants !

I am STUNNED ! I think what I love the most is that Charlie has your accent. And you do have an accent, seeing you are from Australia. The way he pronounces certain words with the inflection on the syllables is so cool. He is really such a character. I love hearing birds that have learned speech from someone of another culture or country where an accent may be different then my normal boring slang Canadian divel. He is brilliant. NOW GO RUB HIS TUMMY ! HE's WAITING !!!!!! The BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD CHARLIE !
