You're too far away Phoebe. Birds don't like 4 or 5 day road trips in the car with me blasting air conditioning or Metallica on the Stereo too loud. And planes make you stick the birds under the seat. The birds either die of fright or freeze from the cold air from the plane flying so high. It's too far to come to steal buy some lovely birds from you & then lose them on the way home. "SIGH" "SNIFF" "SOB" UPS or Purolator wouldn't be any good either.

That was especially cool to see Neat. Thanks for sharing that with us. These folks are up in Ottawa. Not too far from my family. Can you say ROAD TRIP ? BUDGIE FIDNAPPINGS !

They are beautiful. Nice assortment of colors there. I love the green & the mottled bluish one in the last picture. Note to self ... BUDGIE FIDNAPPING ROAD TRIP SOON : drive down to Florida & search for Sueann's place.

Those little heads with stripeys & the little cute faces ! ACK ! There is something so sweet about a baby budgies face. The new clean feathers ... big bright eyes full of life. Them being so curious & silly & busy exploring. They are certainly a nice looking bunch of birds. Glad to see them all together now.

So Merlins " VACATION " with the MIL & FIL paid off in a different way ? Is he more vocal since his time with them ?

Kaz, do you give your birds more fruits & veggies when molting ? Does this aid them in the molt process ? I heard letting them sleep earlier helps. ( if they are inside birds ) they say to cover their cage with a dark cloth earlier in the evening & let them sleep longer then usual. But my avian said not to give them lettuce or too many greens that can result in runny poops & make them weak. What do you think ?

Interesting that you say every 4 months Merlin is molting. I have noticed since I've gotten these 2 birds that they molt every 3 or 4 months. I thought it was only 2 times a year. Obviously they have seasonal changes in Canada & Usa. Do you find this birdluv ? I know you are in Canada. Do your birds molt 4 times a year ? What about in the UK & OZ ? Deb mentioned her aviary birds molting now & her in house birds have already molted. I wonder why ? What is the difference ? IS it the age of the inside birds ? Or a different environment that made them molt first before the aviary birds ? I like hearing the differences & what you think.

Those are some really PUDGIE BUDGIES ! I joke all the time about my Saucy Face & say she's too fat to fly. But my Saucy Face looks anorexic compared to your lovely pudgies. They look happy & healthy & well fed Sailorwolf. Can they fly ? LOL

I'm in Toronto Canada & my birds are having a light molt here. It's just beginning Spring time here. I am curious about the rest of you members & your birds. With our members all over the place in Australia & the USA & other parts of Canada & the UK. I'd like to know if you are experiencing a molt also with your birds. This got me thinking about this from Dave's Moult Post, he is from Sydney Oz, and mentioned his birds are molting & he is beginning to enter fall now. So please let me know where you are & what is happening to your birds & what is happening due to a change in season. Where ever you may be. Thanks

I have to agree with Elly ... molt or not ... those birds still look great. I guess its easier to deal with molting outside in an aviary. Inside ... not so good. Easy way to destroy a vacuum.

Blinkie & Fizzy are nice looking blue boys there Bea ... but that is some color combo in Ozzy ! He's really something else. Beautiful babys you got !

I just can't get over the colors of these birds. I have never seen that shade of blue/purple on budgies here in Canada. Someone please send me one of these beautiful boids PLEASE ? I will send you ..... a WEEBIL !

So sorry to hear you've had such a rough time Daz. Loss of birds & then sick ones & always worried & watching the others aren't sick too. I can imagine your stress level. Thanks for sharing such a serious sad lesson with us all. I really feel for you.

Funny you ask about the Weebil, Kaz. HE ... is not up to par lately. Nope. He has the URGE. Spring is in da air ! It's that time when a young mans fancy turns to staring at young women's fancy's ! My boy has a male hormonal urge to WHAM BAM thank ya Saucy Face ! He has love on his mind & urges hidden under his feathers. He is in LOVE with the Saucy Face & is sure trying to show his love ... if she'd only stay still. Yes ... he has some odd feelings happening in his little bird brains & body. He is regurgitating like mad .. chasing & then practically RAPING his girlfriend lately. He has been just demanding & rotten about it. She is often seen hangin upside down, desperately hanging on to a perch, clutching & growling at him. As he is being MACHO nasty on her & she flops down to the bottom of the cage in a BANG PLOP THUNK " (causes she's too darn fat to fly !) My BOY has no identity crisis. He is ALL MALE BUDGIE & proves this many times a day. Of course. He/she just might be a homosexually confused bird too. I don't want to think about that.

Amazing Aviary ! It's a great size. Nice birds & the dogs are just beautiful. I like their coloring ... I've only seen the traditional black & whites mostly. Excellent set up there Jenene.

Clearbody 1 & 2 look MEAN ... they look like they would kick the dickens outta me & laugh while doing it. And then they'd come back & kick me some more ... & LAUGH MORE. Those 2 boids is GANGSTER BUDGIES ! But I think you have a bunch of lovely birds. Make sure you have a good lock on the Aviary Door ... these 2 are gonna be trouble. I can see it in their shifty eyes!
