  1. I LOVE that website. I've been using it for years. My Dad can't use a computer, but I taught him how to do those puzzles and it helped him get used to using the mouse etc... :(Laughing out loud):

  4. Thats what I was worried about :hap: ... I really like the staff at my chemist and I didn't want to create a scene! :grbud: (Laughing out loud)... I'll check it out tomorrow. Thanks!!!
  5. Thanks Kaz. I got 14. The pack says 14 for tiels and 16 for budgies... I had a chat to Libby about what she uses also as she has many diferent birds. What do you use? I use a 14 guage 3 inch straight crop needle for most purposes. I also have a smaller one for younger budgie babies Yah!!! Glad I got the right one. What do I ask for at the chemist? I don't want to make a **** of myself ... In my conversation with Libby, she also mentioned she uses a smaller one for the young/smaller ones... As I only had adult budgies and tiels, I think the 14 gauge one should do me for now. Cheers!!!

  7. I have just recently ordered some products from Vetafarm (they're fantastic). Amongst my order was a crop needle. I have not used one before and WILL NOT be using it until I'm show how by a breeder or vet! My question is where do I purchase the syringes from to administer the medication etc... from? It says it fits all luer tapered syringes, but I'm just not sure where to find them. Any ideas would be great. (I'm happy to buy online too) Thanks guys xxx P.S. They have this one at Vetafarm. Would this be my best option or would dispossible ones be better? Product Name: REUSABLE FEEDING SYRINGE Product Size: 10mL Price (AUD): $19.60 Available Sizes: 10mL, 20mL, 30mL, 50mL Directions: For the administration of feeds and medicines to birds via a crop needle. The nozzle of the syringe has been predrilled to 3 mm to allow easy flow of material and prevent clogging. To fill either draw feed up through nozzle or unscrew end of syringe, remove plunger and fill. Replace end of syringe, expell air and then feed. Notes: Rugged plastic and stainless steel constructed REUSABLE syringe with screw collar to lock needle in place.

Completely understand!!! You'd never know what you'd find (or not) when you got home . I guess it was just a pity my flock is/was unwell or I could have taken her straight away. However, I know Bec will take good care of her, and I too can't wait to see her in the avairy with her budgie friends!!! And yep... keep me in mind for others needing love and care P.S. Bec, I've got plenty of newspaper if you need more for the bottom of the cage
  12. Hello and welcome to the site. She's a cute one and I look forward to see lots more pictures!
  13. Plucker is adorable Kaz... Ugly?? No way... she's a doll

Cheeky!!! She would have caused a riot in my avairy!!! It looks like shredder and foraging toys wouldn't last long within a beaks reach of her :(Laughing out loud): ... She is sure a cutie pie though. Best of luck with her.
  15. Fantastic quote Elly... Definately one I need to commit to memory! mmm I'd also like to add how much I love this forum. I too, am quite new... not quite 3 months, and have found everyone to be welcoming, friendly and very knowledgable. I may not have as much experience, as many budgies, or breed as much as anyone else, but I feel as if I am still accepted and welcomed like everyone else. I have learnt so much from everybody and continue to do so. I also believe I have made friends for life on this forum (even though many of you live so far away ) I wont name names as I don't want to forget anyone, but you know who you are! I enjoy our chats about budgies, birds and life in general, and am really loving getting to know you all better. It's really nice to share a love with people who also feel the same way. As Elly said, Thanks to all the mods etc... for all their hard work (and fixing my dreadfull spelling ) I can't imagine how much time you all put in to keep this place running smoothly! You guys rock! I could write all day, but I'll restain myself and leave it at that... maesie xxx

  19. You have some great looking budgies there. I love their colours. Good luck with breeding Angel and finding her the perfect mate
  20. Also agree with your Vet and Liv... your budgie is a girl
  21. I can see what you mean now... she's cute though , and I'm glad she's okay!
  22. Sounds very exciting! Pity it's gone so quickly
  23. Relax matie :(Laughing out loud): Considering you have only had Bing for a week, you are both doing great! Possibly moving faster than many others. Just remember to work at his pase. His chirping is good, and he will eventually fly around more and check things out. All good progress so far. Enjoy the journey
  24. So sorry Kaz for your losses... :oliveb: I'm sending ((((((hugs)))))) from me to you!
  25. Good Luck with him Deb. I hope his wing gets better soon so he can rejoin his mates in the avairy!
