Doesn't sound too good. Keep an eye on it. As the others said. I wouldn't expect to see arthritis in such a young bird. It can also be dangerous self diagnosing an illness... in birds, pets in gerenral and humans. Posting photos on a forum such as this might be a better idea.
  2. (Laughing out loud)... and it's funny how as soon as one budgie checks it out, then they all do. I wonder if they all sit there saying..."I did it last time guys... I thought we'd agreed to take it in turns"
  3. Mine do that too, like a kangaroo in head lights! It's funny how quickly their need to check it out over powers their fear of the NEW ITEM
  4. After the initial... WHAT did u just put in our house??? it looks like they're loving it. Great stimulation and great for their feet and beaks.
  5. Hello and welcome. I'm sorry you're having issues with breeding. I agree with Kaz thus far. As to why a cycle like this starts, I'm not sure. As to who is the problem, it could be the male or female (i.e. one or the other may not be able to produce/fertilze eggs)... or the eggs may not have been fertilized. By this I mean just because they mated, doesn't mean the eggs were fertilized. Sometimes things can seem like they're happening when they're not. If they are first time breeders, they may not be real sure about what the have to 'do'... just a thought. Good luck!
  6. More good lookers there Kaz... Chipster is such a darling. I love his blue tummy markings.
  7. Exciting news about the eggs... 4 days is not long to wait . Also, good luck with Zeus and Lady. I hope you have success with them!
  8. Graet looking birds Kaz. Obviously very well looked after and loved! Great to see :(Laughing out loud):
  9. I'm so sorry for your loss. ((((hugs)))) to you from me xoxo

Permission granted ! I'm glad you had a positive experience at the breeders. There's nothing worse when you pump yourself up to get a new bird, and then you get to where you were going to buy it from, and they're in poor condition etc... . I can't wait to see the results when you begin breeding!

Some great shots there Daz. I hope you're feeling better and are able to relax and enjoy your niece's wedding. Work's a bit like that isn't it, things never seem to get done on there own! It would be nice though... hmmm

So she's a mean old ***** :(Laughing out loud): But a cute one at that!
  22. Thanks everyone xxx We've had no news on my Grandpa, and no news is good news... Below is a photo of my nephew with him last weekend. It's so cute! An update on Archer's family. My sister, her hubby and the kids came back today and we spent the evening with them. It was very hard. I didn't think I had any tears left! Archer's funeral is on Mon. My nephew (nearly 3) is staying home with Mum and Dad (his grandparents) and I'm going with my sister, her hubby and their baby (9mths). I'll be looking after her whilst they're at the funeral/wake etc... She' quite a hard baby, very much a mummies girl and will prob scream for hours... but I know she'll be okay and just upset and she'll tire herself out eventually. I'll be back Tues morn. It will be a very hard few days... but I would do anything to help my family out, and this is what they need. Thanks again for your thoughts and prayers xxx
  23. I agree with the others... just a tip. Try to ignore it and not pull your hand away (very hard I know). That way Grumpy will soon learn that biting does not lead to you removing your hand and he wont get what he wants... Your hands WILL recover eventually :(Laughing out loud):
  24. Fantastic. Mine love them too. I also give them bottlebrush and grivella...
  25. To be honest, in a space that size, i wouldn't want ANY of my mates around me to fart! :hap: :hap: :hap:
