Good luck, and I hope Benny waits untill your cast is off... and stops growing.
  2. !!!!!!! Back to budgies... when did you get this rescue budgie?
  3. They look like they're having a blast... great snaps too Kaz!

I don't remember you from before... but welcome back. It sounds like you have been busy! Good luck with your latest lot!
  5. They are so adorable Kaz! The blue collar really brings out the blue in Khan's eyes.
  6. Another happy ending :hap:
  7. Awsome! I love reading about the things you are doing... What ever happened to that Budgie that had the really bad scaley face?

You did It's the door on the oldies cage that is making this complicated - it's on the right hand side (like in Maesie's picture) If the door was on the left it would be easy to join them all up. I guess i could make another door though the tin.....???? I will have to work out the side door for the main flight because there is a pergola post right where i want to the door :hap: (I noticed that too!!! Mayb you'll have to move it all forward a little) Could you pull it apart and swap the two ends around... that way the door would be on the right end!
  9. Good on you. I too always wanted to be a vet... but I could never achieve the grades(I'm smart but not that 'school brained' when it came to it), and I'm not good when animals get sick... esp all that gorey stuff. I'm sure you're going to make a fantastic vet. I'm also sure there will be many patients that will touch you in ways you'd never expect. They will help make you the doctor you will become... and each and every one of them will have a special place in your heart!
  10. That is great news that she pulled through! :hap:
  11. Awsome! I'm sure he'll love it in the avairy! Good on you for helping this little guy out. I only wish there was more people like you and less people like the ones who dumped him!
  12. I'm also glad Fuzzybutt is doing well, and your additions look very cute. Especially GILLY! (LOVE the name... Go Aussies!!!)

What about this?... (I've drawn a sketch below)... Put the oldies cage next to the flight avairy, with the front of the oldies level with the start of the flights side wire. (You may need to move the flight avairy forward a little to allow this) Have the oldies up off the ground (storage underneath). Then have wire running from the front corner of the flight accross to the right as far as you want, then create an end and back out of wood or wire? So you get access in the far right, enter into a section for breeding cages etc... you can get to the oldies cage from here... then walk down the short corridor to the new side door on the flight. This would be more expensive than Kaz's great idea though, as you'd need more wire etc...

Looks great! I love adding new extentions etc... Good luck with the re-arranging Come on kids... you don't really need your cubby house!
  15. She is very, very cute ... and her name suits her too!
  16. WOW... when you get her, be sure to get her to do some paw prints... They'll be worth millions one day!!!
  17. You'll get there eventually... Soon you'll have another one to train also. Double the fun AND Double the trouble! Do you have to wait two weeks for Bella because she's not ready to leave her Mum yet?
  18. You are very lucky! Monty and Bella. Nice... Congrats. I'm sure they'll be the bast of mates. How is Monty going by the way?
  19. Nice photos... first thing first, Houdini is a male and is not real young (couple of years maybe?) Your tiel is a sweetie. The only issue I have is with Houdini's cage. It really needs to be wider rather than taller... this allows for him to fly a little. Even if you plan on letting him have plenty of out of cage time, he still needs ample room in his cage. Check out this post for good v's bad cages: http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....58&hl=cages
  20. For the time you have had them you are doing very, very well. Good on you.
  21. Boris... some urges just can't be ignored
  22. I love Sam's raised leg... Very cute though. Sam's colors are sweet.
  23. It's nice to feel loved isn't it. My birds are the opposite. You can hear the budgies 'talking' away and the teils wolf whistling and carrying on, but as soon as I go near the avairy... it stops. It's like they say "she's comming, if we be really quiet she mite not know we're here"... and then when I leave, it starts again. Some days this is not the case, but they're definately quiter when I'm there.

You go girl... (Phoebe). Your set up look great. Your first avairy is quite small (compared to the big one). I bet when you got it it looked massive . I like your plans for the new cage (for the aged ones). I think just having wire on the front and bottom is a good idea as well. I only have one avairy. Budgies in one side of it and two tiels in the other side. I am yet to have to deal with aged/past breeding etc ones... I'd love to see your plans when you've drawn them up.

Sorry about your loss of Whisper... You birds are very cute by the way, expecially the young one.
