Need Help With Poo Problem.
Your pretty little budgie could be just stressed (as the others have said), but keep a very close eye on him/her. Check the keel bone (chest), if it's sharp it means he/she is underweight and may be unwell. If this is the case, I'd take it to an avian vet asap. It the weight is okay, maye just keep an eye on him/her and hopefully the poo issue may pass.

Scared Budgies
Congratulations on your new little ones. They are cute. I've never heard of the no eye contact thing. I would continue to spend as much time with them as possible. Talk to them, put your head close to the cage and whistle... do it as much as possible. With the Millet, feed them with a long piece and gradually get smaller (means your fingers will get closer to them) I'm currently training my cockatiels, and find if they are really interested in eating the millet, you can sometimes sneak your finger up under their feet without them even noticing . Just keep it up and they WILL get used to you eventually. Just remember to work at their pace and let it happen. Good luck and keep us updated!

Finally Out Of Quarantine
Pheobe is a YF sky blue Opaline. I would like to (next year) hopfully get some YF opalines from her. I have a YF Pied Cock (picture 1 on the right) and i was wondering if i would get YF's from them...??? Pheobe's YF is VERY light, almost cream colour and i really want to get brighter YF chicks. If YF+YF = 75% YF than thats great. I alsways thought YF+YF = white face. I am really excited about breeding YF opalines next year, i think they are gorgeous!!!! Been there done that with my son. He got so excited at the zoo that he got a REALLY bad nose bleed and it wouldnt stop - he was covered in blood and some bystanders were looking a little pale - (Laughing out loud). he was fine though. it was a hot day and a lot of excitement for a little boy hehe. Kids and animals - like salt on chips Poor Alex...

The Start Of The Road...
Don't apoligise! At least you're having a go. She is a beauty...I'll try and think of some names for you. With the pictures/links, if you'd like your actual pictures to be visable on the post without having to follow a link, you can resize them in photo bucket to 320x240 (website, email). To do this click on edit above the photo you want to change, then the resize tab... this will drop down and provide you with several options. You can also upload your photos in this size to begin with. In the top right hand corner (above where you browse for your pics) there is a heading: max image size. Change this to 320x240 website, email. This way all the images you upload will be this size and can be imported straight into our forum. From here, to add your picture to your post, copy and paste the IMG code... and wella. Your image will appear in your post and be the correct size.

Growing Beak
None at all! I wasn't making like you should feel guilty or throw money at the vets or whatever, just to maybe consider those things a little. Money is always a sensitive issue, and everyone has their own problems to deal with. As long as there is no abuse going on, going the cheaper way is totally understandable :hap: I didn't think that was what you were getting at. When I take my animals to the vets, money doesn't really bother me. I'm not really well off, but the health of my animals is very important to me... if however, I could do something myself to help them, and know that what I was doing was all that was needed... I would. You did make some really good points though. I guess it's like when we go to the doctors and dentist etc... all the same, just different patients. :hap:

Need Advice Asap!
I'm really sorry for the news... Could you get a second opinion? Another avian vet? Maybe it's in her head... I'm not sure if you can get meds to put her on to stop this though. Sorry... wish I had an answer

Found Baby - Help Required
I'm so sorry for your loss. You did everything you possibly could for this poor little fella. Good on you. Also, may you find comfort in the fact that he spent his last moments in the warmth and loving care of you, not alone and cold on a work site. Dennis xxx
