Hello and welcome Banshee looks like a male dominant pied And cloud looks like a male spangle or greywing - bit hard to tell They are little cuties :nest: Also they both look mauve
  7. Seed catchers are so easy to make :nest: Measure the base of your cage. Add about 2 cm to the width and length so you can do your semes. Measure the height up the side of the cage you would like the seed catcher to go. (i do it about half way up.) plus about a cm for your seam Draw out your measurements onto fabric so it looks like this and cut out. it will end up as one piece - dont cut each section. Match the coloured sides and sew together. Once sewn you can then fold over to top of each side and sew together leaving enough space to be able to thread cord or elastic though. Thread your cord or elastic and tie when it will fit the cage snug and your done Hope that makes sense

Yes! haha i have a never ending list of things to do. Do you have fresh flowers in your house today?
  9. I have had the same thing too - I bought a bird that ended up being sick - the shop said i could have my $20 back. I ended up keeping the budgie and getting him vet treated myself costing me over $100. If i had given him back to the shop, I bet he would have either been killed or resold without treatment He is now happy and healthy and will be (hopefully) filling eggs for me in a few weeks :nest:
  10. Your so talented Neat

Sounds like a clever idea - my only concern is the adhesive used :rip: Make sure there are no fumes - i always remember contact being stinky as a kid

No! I am loving this winter Is spring your favorite season?

Lettuce is mostly all water and no nutrients, so it's not recommended as a food for budgies - but if you have put it in to provide him with fluid then thats good thinking It is quite normal for a budgie not to eat for a few days after they come home. Keep an eye on his poos. I put a sprey of millet at perch level for my newbies, that way they can eat while still feeling safe up on the perch.

A nice pair - I look forward to the pics of their babies.
  20. You never know - it could happen
  21. Haha, yes that is my time saving tip - only do the dishes when you run out of something That and train up a man to do half of the work...or a monkey, it may learn faster Dishwashers are the best - human or mechanical - Now someone need to invent a machine that will iron the clothes, vacuum and mop the floors while cooking dinner
  22. It is very blue for a hen out of condition To me my first thought was its a male out of condition..... but i really dont know I am sure someone else will know

Yes. but i dont do it often. Do you like the tv series DEXTER??? (i have just started watching it and i think its AWESOME!!)
  24. wow you are a very organised bunch!! I feel like i am going nothing but cleaning all the time, and when i am not cleaning up i am looking at the messy house stressing about the mess. But by looking at your routines, it seems that its quite normal and, your right, the mess will never go away - I vote for a house keeper!!!!!
