  1. I think you two need to start a new topic at 7pm Saturday night. and every 30 mins you need to post something, anything, just to prove you are both still awake
  2. Raspberry cordial 10% solution for 5 days - i dont have any proof it will do anything good, but it definitely wont do any harm either
  3. Football??? Whats that????
  4. Daz, Very impressive - Second Dan is a long dedicated journey!!! My hubby is a red belt with black tip in World Teakwon-Do, but has done his ankle and shoulder in when he was thrown badly and has had to quit He really misses it too. I hope you find something you like as even though its hard at first, it gets REALLY addictive once you get into it!

I am so sorry you are having issues with your new budgie I agree with all that is said - I just wanted to add that i disagree with returing it to the shop. A petshop pays between $2-$5 for each budgie they receive. There is no way they would spend any money getting the budgie better and i feel they would either resell it (untreated) or kill it I know i am being over sensitive but it breaks my heart when pets hops don't care treat their pets as nothing more than stock
  11. Hello and welcome This is a picture of one of my budgies trying to escaper her quarantine cage The behavior you describe is quite normal for a budgie that is from an aviary. But it is not so normal for a budgie of only 6 weeks old and makes me feel your budgie is older. Can you post a picture?
  12. I know your son is gifted, so is mine , but just remember the social part of being a kid is very important in their education too. Some kids who are gifted go though school to early and don't know how to make friends so get picked on. Others who are home schooled also miss the social activity and can develop social issues later on. My son is turning 4 soon and he is gifted at the level where he should already be in school, but i am keeping him back so he can grow with the other kids and learn the social part of life. That's just me though - i was a gifted child and was always picked on in school so I don't want the mistakes that were made on me to happen to my son too.

Your dad has built a very cool aviary! he is very clever. Your nesting boxes should be level and sturdy. If they move around and are on an angle the eggs can get killed and the chicks can get splayed legs etc. Otherwise everything looks brilliant!!
  14. I just asked my four year old where babies come from and he said " They come from my friends house and their mummies drove them to our house" Kids
  15. They look fine to me Poops change all the time according to their diet.

Clipping his wings will be vital for taming him. You can always let them grow back when he is tame. Lots of work and lots of patience and he will tame for you. So pleased he is eating.
  20. Very nice setup How do you keep the floor so clean - or is it new??
  21. I liked the metal, but that's just me I hope your budgies don't get confused and try to eat the leaves
  22. Very nice! Who are the parents??
  23. Hey Daz, The out come has given nothing but a whole lot of nothing Here is BG from a week or so ago He is now an inside budgie as the cold was making him sick. He was sick for a while with respiratory infections and the vets even told me he was going to die of liver failure and lung damage He has since gotten better and is enjoying life out of the cold with my inside (tame) budgies. I did not receive any email back regarding the leg rings... and then I forgot to pursue it further I don't think he has fathered any chicks. The only possible chick is Cookie (front), where his sister, Latte, to his left, is the baby of another male (Barney) - so in all reality the odds of Cookie being BG's baby would be slim. I am tempted to put BG in a cabinet (in the house) with a hen so i can keep a close eye on them and also keep him in the warmth which he thrives in. I have also considered AI with him but i don't have an infertile cock and i don't know where to find one either ps. It's funny, as i have just been going though all my old topics and relinking my moved photos - i had planned to update on this topic
