Yes, My mum - she is brilliant Do you own a motorbike??
  3. As long as they can choose to take a bath or not (meaning you don't spray them etc) then they will be fine
  4. You can take out the nest box and put a upturned container on the bottom of the cage with nesting material in it. If he is still getting food from mum and dad i would leave him with them for just a bit longer.
  5. My birds will bathe, rain hail or shine if they want to. They wont freeze themselves. I notice their winter baths are a lot less soaking then their summer ones

Red backs can kill small lizards and critters (even humans ), so i think your boy is going to be just fine now. He couldn't have been bitten - the nurotoxin would have hit him very quickly if it had.
  13. Here is a picture of them And the formal uniform
  14. Nope, nor I. What are the active ingredients??
  15. I believe you need to do it all though a lawyer.

Go fish!!! *touches wood* Do you "touch wood" when you say something you don't want to jinx?
  17. Personally i do not separate the sexes. I find boys are quite happy to flirt with other boys if there are no hens As for colour verses size, that's up to you. What do you like?? If you are not breeding to show then it really dosen't matter what the outcomes are as long as YOU like them
  18. A balance of males and females creates better harmony in a flock as the girls are more bossy and the boys are more flirtatious. Too many boys and the hens get out numbered and too much "attention" form all the males will stress them. Too many hens and the boys will get bossed around too much and stress them. Rough equality is fine, I have more males than females in my flock, but overall it balances out
  19. It's same as with humans You will feel a sharp bone on the breast of the bird when underweight Gain weight with lots of high energy and fatty foods: Add sunflower seeds and hulled oats to thier seed. Increase perches to increase rest. Will look and feel fat. Loose weight with low energy and low fat foods. Feed basic canary seed, lots of fruit and veg Also space perches far apart to encourage flying.
  20. Considering it has been an ongoing thing and the others are not sick, it would be unlikely a bacterial/viral/fungal thing. Possibly a lack of good bacteria in her gut?? Possibly an organ issue?? Possibly an allergy to something in her environment?? It's impossible to tell so its probably best to get her to your avian vet for some tests.
  21. MB's method works well - as a kid i used to catch (and then immediately release) wild birds using that technique - very effective so you might not just catch budgies

  23. I'd go with TJ if you want size
