Birdie Bath Time!
Adorable pics. I know what you mean by some love the water and some just dont. I have some birds when its hot and I turn on the hose that will sit right up on the front perch of the aviaries and turn their little faces up to the sky and just LOVE the drenching and yet others dive to the back of the aviary obviously NOT wanting their shower! Kazumi is adorable

My New Girls :)
*DING DING DING BELLS, WHISTLES, BALLOONS AND STREAMERS* Congrats on your 1000 posts! hehe It was lovely to meet you too Liv. Vi was very flighty when we got her to Adam's yesterday, but she's much calmer today and I think she really liked it when we added the other girls. She has been busily chewing on the seed stick and Ive seen her have a drink too, so I think she is settling in well. I think she's been bossing Libby around too! haha

My New Girls :)
Here are my new girls and another "meant to be" story. I bought the lovely little Vi from Liv. It was lovely to meet Liv and her baby is a cutie. Vi will be going in the baby/resting aviary for some time as she is Nov 07 baby. Sparkles is (Libby and I think maybe?) a clearwing. She is also a sweetie and she has an 07 leg ring, so its possible she is only 4 or 5 months old, so she will be residing with Vi for a while to be safe. Libby (my new bird Libby, not the forum mod but named after her cause they are both special girls ) is mature AND a fallow. I cant believe my luck. I was at one of my regular bird dealers shops buying seed. I have bought quite a few budgies from this place and they have all been pretty good, some of my original breeders I have bought from these guys. Anyway I noticed he has some nice sized green/yellow birds in the outdoor aviaries, so I requested a hen and ended up with Sparkles. I also saw a lovely white bird with just a smudge of blue on it in a different aviary and said I was interested in something from the blue series also. He was looking at the white birds and finding mostly cocks when this white hen flew right to the front of the aviary and landed right in front of me on the wire. I realised (rather excitedly I have to admit) that she had red eyes! I firstly thought she was going to be my first lacewing, but due to the blue colouring on her rump, realised she is a fallow, which to me was almost as exciting as being a lacewing anyway. There is no way I could have chosen this bird in that particular aviary, it was just fate that she landed right in front of me! So now I have two! But Sunshine, my cock fallow has a girlfriend at the moment and she is nesting and I am hoping for eggs from them in the near future. So I will wait for him to finish his first clutch with her (hopefully) and then see if I can get him and Libby interested in each other a little while down the track Anyway here are my new girls. From left to right Vi, Sparkles and Libby Vi in front, Sparkles to the left and Libby looking quite bored with it all in the background! Sparkles from the back - clearwing? and the lovely Libby in front with Vi behind and another shot of Libby's colouring, thought the flash makes her sky blue look aqua blue, but she is sky blue
