Photos Of My New Additions
Lovely inos MB! I picked up a little lutino cock bird yesterday myself. He is only a baby, 5 or 6 months old, but his mummy was a lacewing and so when he grows up, I am looking forward to putting him with my little lacewing hen As you said, good sized inos seem to be hard to come by and Louie isnt big either, but he's not a bad size and he still has some growing to do, so I'm pretty happy with him

Help For First Time Breeder.......
Cocks hopping in and out of the nest box is quite normal and if she lets him in, thats a good sign they have bonded. Hens will usually chew the nest box, both inside and out. Usually their vent looks bulgy if the hen is carrying an egg, I dunno about putting weight on around the rump....... Good luck with your breeding, it sounds like you might have some eggs in the very near future

Opaline Spangle
I dont know how to explain it, but this is Marco my opaline spangle cock. I also queried an opaline spangle hen I bought a while ago in this post http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....746&hl=isis She is pictured with a spangle so you may be able to see the differences?

1st Flight Photo
Cool picture Neat. Flight shots are always a fluke for me and I rarely catch the whole bird in the picture lol (a flight shot of just the butt end really doesnt do it!)

Didnt Want To Jinx Things....
I guess some of you know about my first cabinet pair, who I kinda cheated with, cause I brought them in from the aviary with eggs. So they were already bonded and the hen was laying. I have 3 other pairs in, one of those was also an aviary couple with eggs, but I think her eggs are all clear, but my last hen to shut down in the big aviary had started another clutch and I took her 2 eggs and gave them to the couple who dont look like hatching anything. My excitement is with my other 2 pair. I have a little lutino hen who I paired with a lovely TCB cock. He is quite stunning and I am crossing my fingers I get babies from them. She has four eggs so far and I know she is a fertile hen, I just have to hope that he is fertile too! My other pair is a nice sized normal cinnamon cock with my pet type dom pied hen. They have been in the cabinet for 2 weeks and I havent seen them bonding, but she has been in the nest box for about a week now and has her first two eggs. I really hope these guys have babies and if/when they do, I will do separate posts and post pics
