My Latest......
An update - still no pics yet cause Gemma is super protective and wont move off her babies, so I dont like to upset her. Anyway, in my previous post, baby #2 was born 27/6. There were no more babies until Thursday 3/7! That's 6 days after her 2nd! So I thought maybe the other eggs were clear or dead and this was the last egg to be laid. Then another baby hatched yesterday! So now she has four out of 6, but I will fall off my chair if any of the other eggs hatch lol

My Beautiful Bg
Sorry to hear your news Liv . I know it doesnt make it any easier, but 14 years isnt a bad life span for a budgie his size is it? He must have been kept very healthy and happy during his life with you

Bird Room/breeding Room?
Good luck Liv! I totally know what you mean about the impatience of it all. I was so impatient, I just put some breeding cabinets in my spare room/junk room wherever I could fit them. Adam and I spent the weekend clearing it out again though and things are much neater in there now. I have 4 complete cabinets and a flight cage with a nest box in at the moment and put 4 new pairs of birds down just yesterday. I had an "expert" from our club come to pair up my birds and he looks only for qualities and faults in their heads and size. So Adonis has had a new partner chosen for him I am a little disappointed, I know at the end of the day, it's my decision what I do with my birds, but I suppose I would be silly to ignore the advice of someone with more experience and knowledge than myself. New projects are always so exciting. I hope you get all set up asap

Celery
I know that celery can be given to budgies, though not too much cause it is a watery vegetable. My question is what about the celery leaves? Are they safe also? I did look on the Faq sheet and it mentioned celery but not the leaves. Thanks all

Sky's Special Day
If nothing else, it will moult/grow out if you dont put anymore pink whatever you are putting in their cage lol I once asked someone who bred about the size difference between hen and cock and she described it to me as like a tall guy and a short girl and the size is more feather than anything.........I dunno how true that all is, but I like to believe it. He still wont hurt her

Piccies Of My Indoor Fids
Wow............that was 3 weeks ago and you bringing up this post just makes me realise how far Morris has come with his training and trust in just those 3 weeks. Three weeks ago, he was still unsure when he wanted to come out of his cage, he would still fly off more often than not when asked to step up, his cage was his safety net. Now I have to push him off my head cause Im training him to settle on my shoulder, he lets me stroke him and cuddle him, and tonight he has started to flying to my hand with no treat to entice him and he took his first scary steps onto my computer desk to snatch a banana chip lol. Saffy, well Saff isnt scared of anything lol.

Thistles!?
Thats not Salvation Jane Norm, its another broad leaf weed. I know Jane when I see it, it's toxic to horses and I used to have horses. I still just dont like the look of it, I have it in my garden too, I pull it up and chuck it out lol
