Mutation? Any Guesses
Yes, unfortunately, the cock has to have the cinnamon gene, either split or visual. It's a problem I have too, most of my cinnamons seem to come out hens, though I have a couple of nice normal green cinnwing cocks and one I have just recently discovered is split to blue!

Enfield Auction Birds
I will have to wait til I get home to check on the individual birds, but the majority of them were 06 and 07 birds, I think there were a couple of 05's and one 04 cock from memory. Was there a particular bird you were referring to?

My Latest......
I finally have some pictures of Gemma and Buster's babies to post. Every time I have taken pictures, they have come out blurred, or too close, or too bright or not bright enough or something! These still arent the greatest of pictures, but you will get an idea of their babies and I would like to know people's opinions on the colours of the two youngest. There is a big size difference between the older two and the youngest, cause there was about 6 days inbetween the 2nd baby hatching and the 3rd. Anyway, here they are Group shot Baby 1 normal green cinnamon hen 2 shots of baby 2, cause one was too bright and the other just looks awkward. Dom pied hen Baby 3 - looks white with very heavily marked cinnamon wings Baby 4 - normal something? lol Comments on those last two will be very welcome please

Enfield Bird Auction
Thank you for the lovely comments. Thanks Liv, I do feel much better now - I am never normally an anxious person at all, the budgie bug must have me bad! lol My bird who looked a bit fluffed last night, looks absolutely fine today thankfully. Sorry about the oversized pictures, not sure what happened there, I resized on photobucket to the size recommended, but I guess they was still too big. I look forward to seeing Lucy and Andrew's birds! Lucy is going overseas in the very near future, not sure exactly when, so the job falls to Andrew now for the next four months of posting and pictures. Come on Andrew - show off your new birdies!! LOL I also read in the "shout box" that Charlie went to the auction and bought birds too - are you gonna share Charlie??

Enfield Bird Auction
Its funny, I dont know if it was the stress of the day for me or the cold or exactly what, but I was very ill afterwards. I was so freezing in that cold hall, and when we got home to Adam's, I was feeling nauseous and couldnt get warm no matter what. I had to go to bed early and had the electric blanket on for hours before I finally stopped shivering. I really think I was that stressed out, cause I woke up just fine today. It was a VERY long day

Enfield Bird Auction
Well, here are a couple of quick snaps I took this afternoon after settling the birds in the spare room. Basically all the blues are in one cage and all the greens in the other, except for one yf sky and he keeps running up and down looking at the blue birds as if to say "Hey! Im blue too, why arent I with them!" It's a space decision though lol And yes, I know one of my green boys looks a little fluffed, but I snapped that picture just before bedtime and they have had a BIG weekend. They have all been super active and eating and seem very healthy, but I will make sure he has had his beauty sleep in the morning and that he has lost his "fluffed look". TCB's are becoming one of my passions and I think its one of the mutations I would like to specialise in. I am hoping to breed some good enough to show and some just because they are pretty (yellow face tcbs are not good for show so I have been informed). I picked up 3 visual TCBs and 2 cocks that are split, so Im very excited! Some of my new guys have names already, the others I am still working on. I am really excited, spoiled, grateful and lucky to have such a wonderful partner who over indulges me. I dont plan on indulging much more for at least 12 months or so, as I hope to breed my own beauties now (Except for a couple of lacewing hens coming my way in a few weeks, but they were pre-arranged!! ) Here are my blues http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r85/Sun...es/Allblues.jpg Buddy - yf skyblue tcb My green series (except for yf skyblue cock in the bottom left hand corner, who objects!) TCBs Griffin and Phoenix and he who objects yf skyblue http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r85/Sun...udgies/TCBs.jpg I am hoping to take individual pics of them tomorrow if I can get around to it while the light is good, but I wont post them all, but I will have them if anyone is more interested in seeing a better picture of a particular bird Moderator’s Message 1st and last picture were over the size regulation and were turned to links
