  1. I have just started to ring my birds. Rung my first clutch with coded club metal rings. I also have some coloured split rings for birds I know have hidden split genetics - tcbs, cinnamon etc
  2. Teehee.......a little flock of baldies :fear
  3. Too many wonderful talents to comment on them all indivdually, but I'm SO impressed!! I'm not really arty or crafty, I cant even get my fist in my mouth!! I'm good with animals and people (generally) I mostly just wanted to post my admiration :fear
  4. Glad to hear the fostering all went well
  5. LOL Unfortunately no, but I did whisper in his breeder's ear, that if he went missing, she might like to start her search at my house
  6. Sunnie replied to pippi's topic in Breeding Journals
Good luck with your new families
  7. Great news Kaz. Those babies look cute all surrounded with their "eggy" siblings :hap:
  8. LOL :hap:
  9. I have too many favourites to have a favourite. Yellow faces, lacewings, tcbs are probably in my top favs. I saw a totally gorgeous dom pied violet cock last night at a meeting. His colour and markings were stunning :hap:
  10. I remember the pain of moving teeth in braces too. Not fun but worth it in the end :hap:
  11. I know Ive already said my bit, but I just wanted to say what a little :hap: that Magik is too - he certainly would have melted my heart! :hap:
  12. Congrats Lib, you must be so over the moon and I am really happy for you Your birds look stunning Congrats to Renee also. And kudos to Kaz for being so kind as to take your birds along Well done all of you!!
  13. Thanks Neat First baby due on the 19th.
  14. Libby I loved Bad English lol Some of you others - your songs are songs I grew up to and grooved to, it just makes me feel older they were around the day you were born and I was enjoying them as a teen. Norm - my grandparents used to sing the Run Rabbit song to us as littluns and we used to sing along with it
  15. The Sound of Silence - Simon and Garfunkel. I didnt know it I had to google it and it really shows my age!! LOL
  16. Awwwwww great news Rusty. Congrats on your babies. I would take a wild guess and say the oldest one will be grey normal, but thats just to see if Im right or wrong lol PS thanks for the extra information Nerwen, that was something I didnt know and wouldnt have thought about
  17. Oh that was SO clever and cute!!! I squealed in delight and to my amusement so did my parrot haha. I love the end of the clip when Smokey has to run away and get a run up. Thanks for sharing
  18. Pretty pair bullett and a lovely picture. Being that they are bred by a recognised breeder, they should have rings on their legs. I can see a ring in that picture. The colour of the ring will tell you what year the birds were hatched in. It is also etched into the ring
  19. Phoenix had 4 eggs, tossed one and has laid 2 more since then. She now has five. Fingers are tightly crossed for these babies
  20. I put my first ring on yesterday. It was a bit harrowing to start with, but I think I was lucky my first time and chose exactly the right day to do it, cause it went on easy enough to not have to push (just fiddle a bit) but difficult enough that it stayed on. My first ever club rung show baby! (And I have NO idea yet what it will look like haha)
  21. Cute pairings. I love the names too. Good luck with your breeding
  22. The link didnt work for me
  23. I've never seen hens with hens, but the boys in the budgie world OFTEN seem to get confused LOL
  24. I have a clutch of 4 babies just recently fledged and the 3rd "child" often sits in a corner and "yells" at me whenever I come into the room. It seems more insecure than the others. The youngest is more adept at flying around and perching and yet it is bigger and I would think stronger. I guess budgies just have personalities like we do, some are more reserved or shy than others.
  25. Interesting......I never knew that
