First Show Babies
I brought the babies in from the aviary in preparation for my first unbroken cap show (which is likely to be cancelled due to weather). I put them in show cages and took pictures. My camera doesnt shoot fast enough to get in between pics, so as soon as I shoot and they move and I try to shoot again when they are in the right position, the have moved again! It's a little frustrating, but here they are anyway, not the best shots but you get an idea of how they are going. Darius and Grace's babies The oldest - yf grey spangle The middle baby - grey spangle The youngest - nick named Miss Feisty, cause she used to run over to nip me when I put my hand in the cage. Fearless! lol Two of the three of Adonis and Cinny's babies. I am not entering the middle baby, he is happy in the aviary. The oldest - dark green cinnamon spangle The youngest, my pride and joy - violet cinnamon

Halloween Cruise In The Hearse
It looks very cool! I have no suggestions, but would love to see you cruising around. Oh, I do have one suggestion, not for the theme but for the business - will you be printing and "pre business" flyers in case any"body" asks questions and would like to get in touch later?

My First Cabinet Pairs.
Thanks for the update Liv. Looking good! Your Lady so reminds me of my Gracie hehe and one of her babies is the spitting image of her, much like Lady's baby I am guessing I thought the yf2 looked like a lut too.......but I am sure you know better being that you see them first hand and not just on a picture

Meet Sunny
I can see your pictures, but dont really feel confident to answer your questions. I dont think the cere shows ill health, but I have been told a browny/blue cere can show an imbalance of hormones, which doesnt really mean anything except problems when it comes to breeding possibly and as you obviously have taken him as a pet that wont matter It looks like you have made a lovely home for him/her and I am sure you will be rewarded with love and trust in time. It sounds like you are doing well with training, because if he isnt panicking and flying around like a mad thing when you put your hand near him, thats a good start :party0011: Good luck with Sunny and its great he has found a loving, caring home who will enrich his life with out of cage time and toys to explore :party0011:

Quails
We have a huge aviary with quails in and it's the only aviary that any of ours have survived. Quite often, the cock birds will kill the babies. It is probably best to remove them when the babies have hatched, I believe. We had four babies in one of our smaller aviaries last year and I was delighted to see the gorgeous little fluffs running around, and upset to find them all dead the next day

Lumina And George Jr
A lot of members here can guess gender when the babies start getting feathers, but you have to realise until they are sexually mature, and their ceres change colour, it is only really a guess, although, it can be a pretty good guess. Generally after a baby has gone through its first moult at around 4 months (I think) this is when their cere colour changes - brown for girls and blue for boys. Some younger chicks have very obvious signs of their sex though, but not all :sadsorry: Patience grasshopper!!
