I think your chances of taking,the budgie,with you are very slim, AQIS,have to become involved & as Kaz said,depending where you are going. I havn't heard of budgies,being shiped out of OZ in a long time,so there may be a ban on exporting them out of Australia.

When you spoke to the organisers,if you asked them the the prices,you may of had an answer,for what they made.

There is not many members in the Nepean club.I think I have it in one,who it is.

If they have come in through the back door,there is no way,they would be put up in public, They would be breed from,for a year or 2 & even then,they would have to be,shown by one of the top breeders, I would think,if you appeared on the show scene,with buff budgies,there would be alot of question asked, & you would have to have thew right answers I would think.

The sheep drench,is just that a drench.The cattle pour on is the one,you will need to use for external use.

It is a good question you ask why,I remember going to a talk, with the Quarinteen, years back & I think it was to do with,one of the deases, incombation,time,threy were useing big words,at the time,I thought, thats okay but they were geting on top of it & then there was another break out of it some where.

With 11 eggs,the chance of any hatching,is very slim as they will be getting chilled, eaven if they look fertile,they could be dead in shell,are you sure,that the hen did't stop laying & started again,if she started in the pot plant & you shifted her to a nest,I would have my doubts, she continued laying.

With 2 budgies,you could go to the green grocer & ask if you could take a sample of each of the vegs & a pce of fruit & that would last for the weeek.

I have been feeding Cod Liver oiled seed,to my budgies,for the last 10 winters,about 5 to 10 mils to 2kg of seed & never suffered any ill affects.I mix it tonight * feed tomorrow.

My thoughts on looking at birds,to try & pr them up,is something,you either have it or you don't. It is not something that you can learn out of a book,you have to be able to look at a bird & see the good & the bad points & know,what you will have to put together, to get an improvement in the off spring, some times it works & a lot of times it dos'nt. It is a matter of getting the prs that click together& as Nubby said, you have to be able to look at your birds & say,yes that is an improvement, on the parents & not just look at it & say,gee that pretty, because pretty, is not, going to breed you good show birds. :what:

What his crop feel like,you mentioned wet food,may be sour crop,if his crop feels hard. You may have to massage it to break it up & flush it out & a little bi carb.

If he is an 02 he is doing a very good job. It might be an old ring or did you breed him.
