  1. Dave why would you dose the birds, seeing as you know where they came from, fair enough to leave them in the holding pen. It gets to me,every time I see, breeders dosing there birds for nothing. Now if one was to,starts to look fluffy, yes a dose of Vitim C,.
  2. The more I look at these top price birds, the more I think it is a PR stunt, all they are paying is the commission on the bird. Its a bit like some of the top price bulls. There is a cow or a heifer or 2 in the truck when they go.

I would be doing some maintance on the Y/F bird, its had a rough time of it. It dosent say much for the BRASEA to send a prize bird like that.
  5. I would be careful GB,they could set the place on fire.
  6. Are we going into breeding King Charles Cavalier Spaniels Kaz.
  7. The vac cleaner with the brush head on, will do the job,if you feel that the blow torch, is a bit drastic,I know which one is the easest, the flame.
  8. Iam not to sure a budgie with a green tail,is going to be earth shattering, has it got any other marking out of the ordering, on it. :glare:
  9. Where is the web address,I would like to have a look at the site Thanks.
  10. Well there your answer Ratzy.
  11. If there no Miner birds,Magies, crows, hanging around, he may stop around. But if chased, the chances are slim, that he will still be around.
  12. They don't have to be special, to make that sort of money in Sydney, its just the name of the person who is selling the bird. Not good auction to buy at if you are on a small budget.
  13. They must of been good, the last lot nealy all dry. PS I think you can get into trouble,if caught useing water torcher or is that only if you tye them to the chair & pour the water down there neck or hold there head under water, till they confess.
  14. That comment sounds a bit high and mighty to me. Are you a genetics expert? Prove that pink is not possible, either through hybrid breeding or selective breeding? Cranberry,O high & mighty, you come on here, about Pink Budgies, You are told there is non & not likely to be.But if you think you can breed them,I would pop off now & make a start,I don't knowhow old you are but I think time is running out, there has't been another colour hatched in a very long time. But there just might be a chance, for you to produce it.But you will need more then a handfull of birds to do it. :budgiedance:
  15. Just because you have a pr of budgies & you put them in a breeding cage, thats not a green light, for them to breed. There are other things, that come into play. They are not human & you can't just tell them to breed. :nest:
  16. Well good for you... Cranberry,You have 8 birds, last week you were complaining you could't find breeders to sell you birds. This week you are an expert on what breeders do with there birds. *** edited out the personal attacks***
  17. I think it is very overious that those birds have been dyed with food colouring. There are no PINK BUDGIES & never likely to be.
  18. There is no need to get hung up, by what they are split to. When you are looking a your birds, what you see is what they are. They are normal if the markings are normal.Opaline if the marking are Opaline.Cinnomon(normal).Cinnomon Opaline if marked that way. Spangle(normal) OpalineSpangle,Cinnomon Spangle, ext
  19. I thought all your bird, were direct MannesXBinksXPilkington. To go with the Golf Cap & Sneakers. PS Did the Reds turn up.
  20. So true Kaz,there is a lot of post, posted on here by members, who have a bird in a cage or 6 or 8 in a avary & they make comment about, every question asked.Nine times out of Ten, all they are doing is confuseing the question, the person is asking.
  21. Lealotta,If you are going to join a club, just go along to a club in your area, & make yourself known & in most cases, the club members, will be very helpful, I see you went to the Eastern auction, so you know, the birds that are show type & if you realy want to get in to the showing game, get a couple of good pair of birds & start from there, & don't breed your pet types in to them.Better still just keep 2 pr of the pets for feeders & use the first round from the show birds eggs to go under the feeders * you have you have 4lots of chicks, instead of 2.

Seeing as this is the last show for the adults & it's your local show, Splat I would send them if they are looking bright on the perch. Yes Geoff,a report on the show. At each meeting any one that been to any show in the previous month, give a detailed report on the show.
  23. Robyn if you are talking about the Green cock with the pied hen, it is a Normal Cock,as Kaz has said.
  24. If you had put the mesurments of the cage,it would of been easy to say if they are to small.By the look of the picture,I would think they wood be okay as breeding cages. If you are concered they are to small, move the breeding box to the out side of the cage & that way they will be okay.
