Lets just say,what if the main states run the Nationals & the other states,sent there birds,across to the National in those States, that could afford to run the National. Why should the main states, be disadvantaged by the less financial states,they are only holding back,the Budgie shows,because they can't afford to run the National. I think it might come,to where the big 3 might say,this is what is going to happen

There may of been only 20 replys back,in alot of cases,the letters were sent as a club.I believe, to show unity.All these changes, has caused alot of problems & caused, disconnection with the National Body.As they are trying to push things through,without trialing them.To most members on here,they would be wondering, what all the fuss is about.But in the show world,it avery hot topic.

Lets just say,that,this excise with the classes,is causing a lot of problems, in the show ranks & it is not all good.There is a lot of not happy breeders/showers.The vote could be very interesting.

I think if the answer the first time,was hens, will be Green/slate=green/blue But like you say GB,a lot of members,only read the last post posted,& repeat, what has already been mentioned.

If a pink budgie could of been breed,KK would of bred it.No doubt he was pulling someone leg. He breeds Budgie's by the Hundreds & in years gone by & still dose, to a lesser now,has Auctions of just his own Birds.There was no PINK ONES.

I think it is time you told Crumble,to have respect,for the breeders who know what they are talking about.These people who have been in the breed, for 5 minites & they think they know every thing.

GB do you go through the book on bird sickness & then pin it on, of of your bird,do you just like to have a sick bird on the go.Mind you are not the only one,I read these posts & think,WHAT ARE THESE PEOPLE DO TO THERE BIRDS.As the saying goes,there is livestock & dead stock.Its a way of life.

Yes Splat.As Rachelm has done in the photo,make sure that it is high enough up that the water,will not come in over the top of the concrete.If you are concerned,that the concrete,will stop you from removing the shed. If you have to,put a strip of plastic or something,up against the wall & the concrete,but a hit with a hammer,would break the concrete.You mentioned about lineing the inside of the shed,I would do the concrete first & then test it, by spraying water on the out side wall to make sure the is not coming in,then put up the inside lineing.In the case of the door,if it opens out,change it to open in.Then you can fix some strips of metal,or simlar around the door,so the rain,can't beat in..Because Budgie & water don't mix,

I think you will need a lot of silcone,because those types of sheds,the floor has to be higher.then the bottem of the shed walls.the rain will just run down the wall & on to the concrete,& into the shed.You may have build a strip of concrete right around the inside wall of the shed,to stop the water coming in.

They would of looked even better if they were spotted,they never look right with all there spots on. But apart from that,congratilation to the winners.

I think there is something about black nails.But I would be looking at the the chick dieing from,being cold.The hen might be,being hunted off the nest at night.??

By the look of it,he is going to be a solid dog,he looks to be holding that special colouring. Will be a dog tobe proud off.

Kaz By the look of one of the photos,it is or has been,a house of the Brothers/Monks. I would be checking, that you can have Birds & Avarys,it dos'nt look to have much room out the back.May have to retier from they Bird game.

Why is it that so many members on here get hung up about Violet, By the last photo,it is not Mauve,the cheek patch is Grey.

When the top breeders in the club,are having problems,it must be a seasonal thing,as it appears,by what I have read & heard.

Did This gentleman,show his birds, or were they just pet type. If they are of good show quialty & he kept a record of the breeding, there will be some good birds,for someone to get started.If no one has been in & picked the eyes, out of them.There no information on the catalouge, to the breeding of them.Just have to watch the bidding & those in the know are bidding on them,stick abid or 2 in & help his wife out with a few extra dollars,if they are any Good.

I would of thought,if they replaced the motor,they could of replaced the belts,as it must of been in poor condition, to fall apart,in such a short time.Save a $ & cost you $$

That is correct Kaz,for every 100 you breed,there is a big % that are,only good for the pet trade. You will need to tee up a few pets shops, or you will flood the market & the price will go down. The going price over here to the bird dealer is.Greens $1.80 Blue's & Greys $2.50 Inos $5.00 Fellows/clearwings &bodys $6.00 Pieds $7.00.

At the club the other night,we were talking about how the hatching is going this year, it was the general thoughts that the hatch rate was very low,with dead in shell & hatching & not serviveing.more then a day these blokes, have from 25 to 50 pairs down.They think the weather,may be the problem & are hoping the next round would,one bloke threw out a 100 eges.I myself have not put a pr down as yet,they are not comeing in at all.

That is a problem sometimes,the breeder puts a reserve on there bird & it is set to high,as the bird is not as good as they think & if you are not known,the price will not be as good as someone,that have the results on the board. That is the thing,about Auctions,they only make what the last bid was.If you want more,bid on them yourself, because if a bird is passed in,it drops the average price.

Don't come the bounce on here Nokman,your talking in riddles & we havn't got a clue,what you are trying to do. But what ever it is,the cost will be pretty heavy& for a budgie your taking a big chance it will survive the trip. :laughter:
