  1. Thanks Kas, but things aren't to good here at the moment. I think I might be homeless soon and will have to part with all my beautiful birds. I think I am waisting my time trying to breed good birds to show next year and more than likely won't get the chance because I won't have them anymore.
  2. Here are some more baby pics of my nest This lot is nest 9, so far I can see 2 pieds out of 3 babies, the 3rd eldest is being fostered These next 3 Pics are nest 14 and so far there is I think a yellow double factor spangle, 2 white cinnamon double factor spangles, a spangle not sure what colour and a normal not sure of colour and 1 to little to tell yet. She is also fostering one from another nest because the mother feather plucked. This lot is from nest 11 This lot is nest 1 These are from nest 12, there is a cobalt spangle, a Dk green spangle and a Dk green normal and a DK green normal died at 2 weeks These 6 eggs are from nest 10, parents sky blue cock split Albino and yellow face grey hen due to hatch in a few days This lot are being fostered I hope you like my babies will keep updating as they progress

  8. Wow found 5 new babies in different nest today, I nest hatched 2 today, I think that is because it should of hatched 2 days ago so might not of sat on them enough, there was 6 eggs in the nest. Will take photos 2morrow if I get time and add them.
  9. I thought I would have a go at taking some pics of wings in motion. You know it is really quite hard they move so fast and before you can push the button they are gone but I did manage to get a couple, I hope you enjoy. I like this one the best, it looks surreal, the wings fade away.
  10. UPDATE::::More pics of the babies and another new nest Nest 12. Cobalt spangle, dk green spangle I think, it's a toss up between lt and dk and Dr green normal. Nest 14, no new bubs yet but these are a bit bigger, there is 5 babies in here, still has 3 eggs to hatch, which i don't think they all will. This is a new nest, nest 11, there are 2 babies she has 3 eggs left but one is clear. Notice the egg shell around one egg, I forgot to take it out, that is what Kas metioned on another post how the egg shell can wrap around another egg, well it did here. The parents of these babies are a sky blue split albino cock and a yellow face grey hen. I was hoping for a yellow face albino but so far they all have black eyes. RATS. This is nest 5, she has 3 babies . I hope you like my baby pics will keep updating as they come and get bigger

Lovely little birds, sooo cute, :dbb1: I would say that Turk is a yellow face normal, but has a lot of colour in the wings, so not really sure but looks like a boy. and JD looks like a Recessive Danish pied and she is a hen. :ausb:

Lovely birds, cool pics, looks like it's fun time when the cages are cleaned.:dbb1:
  20. I was training them Macka but the grey green and grey green opaline will be moulting by then so I'm only left with the grey green in the first lot of pics which is the best any way but he is the naughtiest too, he trys to fly out of the top of the show cage where is the other 2 are older and the sit beautifully but anyway Greg reckons it's not worthing taking 1 bird to be selected. What's your opinion Their ages are opaline grey green 6-6-07 and grey green 4-6-07 both from the same nest, the grey green is starting to moult I see some capp feathers starting to happen and the other grey green was hatched on the 1-7-07
  21. I just went out and out a ring on the second eldest which is cinnamon, a bit disapointed as the 6th egg should of hatched yesterday but still hasn't, so it looks like it may not hatch at all.
  22. Yes Kas, really pleased because i have improved on last year by heaps. But those 3 above are the best young we have so far, but that is only because the rest are moulting and they look so crappy, can't wait to see how they turn out.
  23. They are lovely aren't they, I love the grey green too, I was starting to train him and a grey green cock and a grey green opaline for the uncapped show in a couple of weeks but I stopped because th later two will be molting by then but here are the photos of them my show team. this is the one above and the other 2 which are full siblings, these 2 are a few weeks older than the one above Grey green cock, could be a hen same bird as above Grey green opaline hen What do you think
  24. Some of my babies, this lot is from nest 14. Parents are Lt green spangle cock split cinn & grey spangle cinn hen. Mother, I haven't got a picture of dad yet but he is the dad of the one in my signiture They have 8 eggs and 2 have hatched in the first picture, the first one has black eyes and the second one red eyes. This picture there are 5 babies, 3 eggs left to hatch, now I have 3 red eyes and 2 black This is a new lot from nest 5, The parents are Opaline sky blue cock & opaline grey yellow face. Dad Mother 2 eggs have hatched 4 to go This lot is from nest 12, parents are Lt green spangle cock and cobalt violet hen, there were 4 hatched but I lost a dark green normal at 15 days old. The others are cobalt spangle, dark green normal and Lt green spangle Dad this one is the full brother to my grey spangle cock that was murdered a couple of weeks ago by a horriable hen, This cock is the only blood line I have left so I am being really careful with him. Mum Babies The same babies now I will keep updating on the progress of these nest plus I have babies in 3 more nest. At this stage I have rung 58 birds this year , seven have died and I have 12 little babies still to ring plus heaps of eggs waiting to hatch.
