  1. nope, just trembling... no fluffing no nothing.. acting just like normal except for trembling. eating and chasing and playing and singing and all the rest of it... Like I said, it's like he's cold, but only it's not cold. I'll give my vet a call and see what he says... thanks.
  2. yes his cage is covered at night. He's not alone, he's with six others at the moment. Some will be moving out when they 're-quarantine' is over... the other six is fine... the poo isn't runny. It's normal, but just sticking to feathers... it's firm and it's browish greenish colour with whitish in it.. normal for budgies anyway... And nothings change in the room, so I don't know what could have suddenly frighten him, and only at night time... could he has a constant night fright or something??

nice looking birds. and the baby is looking really cute!!
  4. no, I can't think of anything that might scare him, or at least would for the last seven days anyway. And nope, no diet change either. Same ole same ole still... funny that it also only stick at night time. During the day time he seems to poop find. I'm thinking may be the shaking/shivering is somehow causing him to not 'squat' properly when poo therefore poo sticking to the feathers, but that's what I think, but not sure if that is the case though.
  5. I hope this is the right place for the topic.... I've noticed that one of my budgies shakes/shivers uncontrollably at night time!! Only at night time.. I've look at him during the day, and he's perfectly fine, no shaking no shivering... it's as if at night time he gets too cold or something, even when I pick him up, he shakes... non stop... it's weird. This has been going on for at least a week that I've noticed, but probably longer... Anyone know why this could be?? And also, I've noticed that he's got poo stuck to his vent feathers. The poo seems very normal to me, but he just get them stuck on his backside, and again, it only sticks during night time, during the day time he poo just fine. Nothing stuck on feathers. Any idea??

Wow Daz, That looks great!! You've done such a great job at coverting the shed into the new flight and breeding room!! Amazing... I would just love something similar to that. Good job. oh and those cane toads... They are invading Western Australia now!!! NOOOOOO........
  7. sounds like an eccletus Smudgie.... They sell for about that price.. hehe. could be something else of course.... All my birds love their fruits, but they do prefer the green over that fruit though...
  8. gorgeous babies!!! adventurous bunch too.
  9. Generally when bird molts, they molt symmetrically on their wings, meaning if they loose one feather on one side, the other side will molt too. This is natures way of keeping the birds flight balance in the wild.
  10. Does it only have one iris ring only as well??
  11. So sorry to hear that poor little Tobi is sick again. I hope she recovers soon for both your sake.
  12. Double Factor dominant pied... Interesting... I should get some pics and post it here....
  13. Hi, I just noticed on one of my budgies (a pied who I thought was a recessive) has a dark eye and an eye with a very prominent white/cream eye ring!! Is that common??? would that then make her a dominant pied because of the eye ring in one eye?? I'll have to get photos, but my batteries are being charged currently, so may be tomrrow... :bluebudgie: Any clue/idea anyone?? Thanks Cheeta

I'd say now that they've been together, though some would say to seperate them now, but since it's only one bird before, I'd say, just keep them together, but keep an eye out on them. You never know, K'ulli may have something that hasn't shown up in the last three weeks that you've had them. Keep an eye on all three of them... I hope you don't have other birds though...
  19. Sounds like a great place you have there!! can't wait to visit ya.
  20. It was all because of the aviary wasn't it... that's why you fell in love with it... hehehe.
  21. (Laughing out loud).... Oh that little Apple!! He's such a cutie!!! what a hyperactive little guy!!!
  22. Oh my that is just soooo adorable!!! so cute!!!
  23. I find that with my budgies, some have really really big molt and get it all over done with in a short time, whereas some takes their time, and are constantly in molting mode!!! It took my Lemon girl about two big molt to get all her clipped flight back. it was a bout a year or so before she got them all back.
