I have potato, sweet potato, pumpkin, carrot and frozen mixed vegies, all blended together, then I freeze them in an ice cube tray and pop out 2 and defrost, and serve with a sprinkle of seed and a garnish of snowpea!!

The budgies tuckered down to a nice wholesome meal of mashed vegies yesterday! They are such messy eaters MMM tasty! Sparkie comes up for air Sunny's stepping in All in heads down bums up! Bobby cleans his sticky beak You would think you have never seen a budgie with vegies all over his beak before I also filled a container with water and Sherbie and Sunny felt they needed a bit of a wash! I just realised I didn't get any still pics of Sunny - but trust me, he had a blast!! I did get a video of them enjoying the bath but I can't figure out how to get it off the video camera and onto the computer

It is mirrors all the way with Bobby - give him a mirror and he will sit in front of it for hours on end! The others seem to love their boing, but I don't really see them playing with toys all that often. I noticed Sunny the other day playing with those balls in his cage, but I only have a couple of toys in there now cause they just seemed to annoy them more than entertain them.

Wow she is beautiful!! actually they both are!! :ausb: I don't see any spangle markings either... if you look at the larger feathers down the bottom of her wings they are edged in white, which is normal markings!!! Very very pretty birds!!

They are tame enough that I can coax them onto my finger with millet, or they will hang out with me on the couch for a bit, but nowhere near as tame as Bobby - but that's okay, I like watching them be budgies : They get fed deluxe! I think they are so used to being spoilt they think all food is theirs for the taking :D

I was enjoying my bread roll for lunch, and the budgies thought they might like some bread roll for lunch too. Bobby was first to come and have a taste Then Sherbie Sunny tries to sneak in for a go Then Sparkie joins in and Sunny flies off Sparkie - you have bread on your nose - did you know..... Bobby says thank you mummy for the bread Sherbie gets right into it - closed eyes for maximum enjoyment Sparkie says - get away from my bread I tell ya This is my piece thank you I thought I said GET AWAY Bobby says hey that was my bread... I didn't really get to eat much of my lunch today

I got Sherbie and Sparky 10th Dec - 2 1/2 months ago, and the entire time I have had her, her cere has been crusty brown. Is it normal for them to stay in breeding condition for this long? There has been no attempt at breeding and I haven't put anything in the cage to encourage it, and she is in with 3 males, so how long would it be before her cere returns to the normal pinkish colour that females have??

I followed the budgies around the house with the camera, and while they mostly flew off screeching, I did manage to sneak in a few snaps! Oh Gemma is just gorgeous!!!! So is sooo terrier - that intense stare at Billy - my terrier does that too!!! Regarding Billy's tail and flight feathers missing, you might want to speak to Bubbles about that, she has a budgie (Pasteil my cyber budgie :fear ) who has a condition that causes his flights and tails to fall out, but can't remember what it is called.
