  1. so pretty. well i guess that answers my question from the other post! (Laughing out loud)
  2. Yasmin is gorgeous. How old is she now? Do I detect a bit of beige in her cere already? I LOVE HER! So pretty! How many violets do you have Karen?
  3. Wow. What a difference in size between those two. Love the pics. They are so lovely Riebie. Can you please post a close up of Sonny's cere in my post called Female recessive pied. I'd like to compare it to Romeo's - my YF recessive. Thanks!
  4. Too cute!
  5. I bet Pretty gets in!!!! Love the pics. Merlin is having a blast. Daffy is my only water dish bather.
  6. Well Merlin must be a boy. There is no mistaking that gorgeous blue cere. But Pretty???? These recessives have me stumped!!!!

Will they be inside birds or are they headed for the aviary? They are gorgeous!
  8. I guess I won't know for sure unless Taz lays eggs. The ways she behaves with Monty really makes me think female, but then when I look at the cere of Romeo it looks pretty much the same. And I think he is male.
  9. Sorry Karen. You did your best. RIP little one.
  10. Well here is a picture when I first brought Taz home.
  11. Is there something wrong with this baby? It just doesn't look quite right to me - the legs? Splayed? Toes curled?
  12. I'm actually glad that she is female. I think that she and Monty will make some gorgeous blue babes someday. Tazz is violet in person, and Monty is a gorgeous dilute cobalt or mauve. I'd also like to pair her with a recessive male to get some recessive babies.
  13. gorgeous babies all of nerwen and daz. Interesting thoughts about putting how to set up the birds.
  14. Well here is a picture of Taz with the love of his/her life- Monty. Monty is just a wee babe. Taz is probably 9-10 months old.
  15. They look great Kirby. It will be cool if you get a surprise mutation out of the clutch. Awesome.
  16. Oh look at little Mars - so pretty!
  17. They are so cute. I LOVE those YF spangles!!!!!
  18. Thanks for posting this. She is so pretty. Do you have a picture of her NOT in condition?
  19. I think you should keep one too Kirbs. I know it will fit nicely in your big cage!!! Is that your budgie in the ad? If so we need new pics!
  20. I was wondering if those of you with female recessive pieds could post some pictures of their ceres. Especially when they are in breeding condition. I'm trying to decide if my Tazzy is actually a female. All along I've said male but Taz has been really taken with Monty (definately male) for the last two months. They are constantly together, feeding each other, keeping others away. They do all the stuff that my other m/f couples do. And some days I swear Taz's cere looks beige. I remember someone recently (maybe Nerwen) thinking their recessive's cere was turning beige. I posted that I thought it was male. But now I'm starting to wonder about Taz. Thanks everyone.
  21. Was that the sweet little YF2 spangle baby?
  22. They look fantastic Kirby. I just want to cuddle the fuzzy ones.

Wow. Cool playgym and gorgeous bird.
  24. Kirby, Sylvester is my oldest male. He will be a year in Nov. He and Bella have hit it off. He is a YF2 as well so I hope to get my yf spangle out of that pairing. He is dilute and Bella is also greywing so I thought they'd make some pretty babies even if I don't get a spangle. Wylie is a month younger. He is very much in love with Daffy. I may try them together later but Daffy's cere never turns brown. She isn't a recessive so I'm not sure what is up with her. I ordered the cages from ebay. I literally have a wall of cages now. I've got them all set up but only one is in use - Bella and Sylvester. The others are all happy in the big cage.

I was going to say the same thing - wow -what a difference in size between the green one and the white one next to it. How much does the green one weigh?
