Cobalt Or Sky Blue
Violet is only visual on a Cobalt so it would be hard to find out on a skyblue unless bred but again lets see what other's say.

Weaning Hand Raised Budgie
Weaning chicks. Provide adult type food to chicks once they are fully feathered or begin to resist being hand fed. To wean onto Pellets or crumbles, reduce the number of feeds and offer some moistened pellets in a dish. Once the chick starts eating the moist pellets, stop hand feeding and offer only dry pellets. Chicks will naturally lose some weight during weaning*i.e. Budgies should also learn how to crack and eat seed. Stat with a soft seed, such as millet and when they have mastered that start to introduce ordinary budgerigar mixes. This if from our FAQ article you can read the full article HERE I hope that helps, most of our breeders are sleeping right now so this evening you will find you will get more answers .

3 More Babys
they are pretty, I would note that your opaline female is also carrying the clearwing gene like the male that is how you got your pretty baby in the first picture .

Going Shopping 4 Spike
I am very surprised the vet (was he an avian) was against wing clipping for saftey that would worry me in the future taking him back if he made you feel like you made the wrong decision, each bird situation should be accessed different and you having his wings clipped was good decision on your part since you do have the ceiling fans on 24/7. Glad you have a good time shopping for him.

By George Neat's Got It
That is correct that only has to do with sex-linked genes such a ino, opaline and others the others ones such as the blue gene, recessive pied etc...are not affected by this.
-
Understanding The Mating Table
Not sure what you mean by cock first or hen I talk about each bird separately. Normal split to recessive pied means that the bird is a normal "looking" budgie all blue or all green and it carries the gene for recessive pied. The Normal Gene is dominant over the Recessive Pied gene therefore the Recessive Pied gene can not be visually seen because it is masked does that make sense?

Family Tree With Breeding
Yes there are genes that can hide from generation to generation just like humans so the best pedigree is the longest one so the more records you have that go further back the more chance knowing what your possible outcomes are.

Breeding Outcomes
okay so this is why I can not sleep now .... Dom x rec breeding ... outcome will be 100% Dom/ Rec .... But what if there are a few factors of the Dominated gene Not sure what you mean by here if you can explain it more. Yf, Opaline would they all be YF / rec ..... I have a Yf Colalt opaline Hen THIS WAS HER AS A BABY SHE IS MUCH DARKER NOW ( i think mauve has she isn't bright more dull) and a Colablt (bright) Rec pied ( could be clearwing or clear flight .... What will be the outcome and why????? Personally in this picture your hen looks violet not mauve but maybe it is the flash. The hen is carrying the opaline gene so she is going to give the opaline gene to all her male offspring but they will only be split because a male needs 2 opaline genes to express it visually. Now if you get any opaline hens that would mean that your r. pied is carrying the gene too (he would be split for it) and all the hens will show it visually because a hen needs only 1 opaline gene to express it visually. (if you want to know more why let me know). You will only have r. pieds if the hen is also carrying the r. pied gene (meaning he is split to this gene) but if he is not you will only have normals. You will only have blues since it is a recessive gene. Depending on how many dark factors each bird carries is going to determine the darkness of the blue. If the hen is a violet that brings in another added factor too. So if there is no r. pied gene in the hen you will have & the male is not carrying the opaline gene your basic outcomes can be 100 % normal hens blue 100% normal cocks split to opaline No the yellow face is another thing (Laughing out loud) if the white face is a true white face then you will have 50% yellow faces & 50% whites. Hope that helps

Graywing?
If you can find a bird split to greywing and breed one of your greywings you will get more too you don't have to have a greywing to get one just both parents needs to carry the gene.

Jack The Nipper Has Me Terrified !
How long have you had Jack? Many times budgies are very quiet and sweet when they first come home people mistake this behavior because in reality the bird may actually be really to scared to move and strike back. Once they become adjusted to their enviroment they start to become more confident and will change in personality. When does he do this most? When he is in or out of his cage? If it is in his cage does he do it in a certain spot or by a certain toy? How old is Jack? How much flight time do you give Jack? How much time do you and your daughter spend with Jack on a daily basis? This behavior can be adjusted and a well adjusted budgie can come out from this situation when we can find out what the underlying cause is.

Graywing?
The second one is a Full Body Greywing which explains that the color is not diluted like the first one which is a GreyWing. There is no such thing as a greywing dilute (I saw somone write that) it is either one or the other because they share the same allele. Just adding in for clarification. Nice looking birds.
