In the eating area i am having problems trying to get her to eat, i ran out of egg and biscuit mix so i bought her young bird rearing food because i thought that would be better for her and she ate it for the last 2 days but today has decided she will not eat it. i made up the handraising formula that she used to eat because her crop is empty and i could only get her to eat a little bit of it. I tried a spoon and syringe and got more food on her then in her mouth. Link to comment

Egg and biscuit mix is mostly all bread crumbs anyway. Edited July 17, 2008 by **Liv** Link to comment

She is going better tonight, i heard this chirping noise from her cage when i was having tea and went to check her and she was eating her young rearing food and the food was cold. she has never eaten cold mix before so it was a good sign. She has gone to bed tonight with a very full crop. I got some great advice from Libby who said it is normal when they are weaning to go through a stage when they reject their food so Roxy is doing the normal things for her age which is good to know.
