      Can't say I've ever heard of a brown budgie - only brown or cinnamon colour markings on wings. Would be interesting to see

    saw a tunnel under the mouse mesh on the floor of my aviary...saw a mouse making itself comfy in that tunnel. Went and boiled the kettle, came back and poured it down that mouse tunnel. Things stopped moving. Now ants have taken over to eat up that dead mouse family. Do I feel sad about the mice ? ...NO !!!

    How many times I hear people advising budgies have LIFELONG mating partners.....this is NOT TRUE. ....if it were how could us show breeders pair up various budgies for breeding....

    This is completely un-bird related but anyway... I just finished watching Schindler's List, and I would highly recommend watching it if you haven't already, It shows just what humanity isn't :'(

    Left my husband in charge of my birds over 4 days away. He decides its a good idea to open a window near my largest cage of birds in freezing temperatures and forgets to shut it. Now I have all those birds sick and under treatment. Have lost four so far. Total losses from him looking after birds while I was away 15. Lesson to be learnt...husband not to be trusted in charge of birds.

    Found Budgie. Blue and White with breeders tag on left leg. Pac Pines area. I don't know how to find his home and don't want to take him to the pet shop but will have to soon. Can anyone help me find his home?

      What is the ring code? Usually a ring will have a code that belongs to a certain breeder :) Let us know and someone on here will hopefully be able to tell you

    I think my Cobalt Cock is actually a Sky Violet! He has 4 chicks at the moment and one is proving to be a violet. The hen is a Sky Cinnamon and doesn't have and dark factors in her parentage - so must be from the cock?

      I'll organise photos of parents and babies - these are my pet types unfortunately, not my show types but they're still pretty. I could also just be completely useless at colours LOL. I know the cock is split pied as is one of the babies.
