Here's some piccies i got of the babies. Not sure when you'll get more though, they're a bit dangerous to have out as they like flying into things trying to get away from me. Not fun for them or me. Fizzy is Tim's baby so he will be an indoor budgie.

Well after noticing Fizzy getting a little wild in with his untame family (the other babies are starting to copy their dad) i thought i'd let Fizz hang out with some awesome, tame birds for a change. At first he was a little overwhelmed by Blinkie's crazy head bopping but he's enjoying himself now, eating some seed on top of Blinkie's cage with the tiels. Life's so good, just me, and you, and........ Who's this? Oh, so you're uncle Blinkie are you? Sure am!! But i don't like the name uncle Blinkie, it simply doesn't give my sexiness credit....why don't you call me Lord Blinkie the sexiest budgie in the world? I prefer Uncle Blinkie myself. Well i don't!!! It's Lord Blinkie i say!! You can't make me call you that! I'll just sit up here in this nest and preen. Whoa! Who's this? Uncle Blinkie...i don't think he likes me much! There's two of them!!! And while i had the camera out i also got some pics of Ozzie! He's looking fairly pin feather free now and extremely happy! My handsome boy! I also got some pics of the other babies but i'll post them in their own thread.

I hope Merlin perks up again soon, he would be missing his buddy. *hugs* to you and Merlin. I bet he'll love the extra attention from mummy though, what bird wouldn't?

Oh yeah, he has his cheeky moods where he'll just bite at random. It doesn't happen too often though.

I was the victim of a random act of evil this afternoon. Who could be the culprit? The crime scene - i see a definite beak imprint It was surely not Princess Cookie, she's too beautiful... And it couldn't be Bailee, he's just too innocent looking.... Can't be Migs, he's too lazy - besides, he doesn't have a beak! So that leaves...... Blinkie *dramatic music* He's the possessor of mirrors He can look over cliffs (*cough* desks) with no fear And, he is the master of glares.... Yes, we have found the criminal!! Not to mention the fact that i witnessed the crime. I clearly remember him flying in, biting me, and flying away....wonder how i offended him this time!! :rip:

Fantastic news!! Ozzie's weight is up 2g since yesterday!!! I'm so happy. He's 38g now which is a much more ideal weight for his size. To celebrate i gave him a couple of plastic balls to play with and he had a blast!! :rip: Here's a short video of his games, you can see him bouncing and throwing the balls while chirping his silly little head off and hopping about: And here's some still shots! Whooooo!! It's a ball!!! *head bop* I wonder if i can stand on it... GRRRR!!! I fell off!! For that you die ball!! ....what....i didn't throw the ball off the cage.... *shock* It's back!!! AND it bought a friend!!! Mummy help, i'm outnumbered!!!

Oh no, i am so so sorry Elly. Pretty was such a special budgie to everyone here on the forum. You did everything you possibly could've for him. RIP Pretty.

Yeah, both the vet and i think it's from the stress of being sick. He's such a tough little guy!

Here's some piccies of my little Mozzie. I put him in Blinkie and his old cage today so he's got more room while he's separated from his friends. I feel so sad for him.

Oz is down to 36g now, lower than he's ever been since i got him. But, he's eating, chirping, playing, pooping so it is a mystery! Some breathing problems that the vet noticed last week have improved tonight, we went for our one week check up. The vet was as confused as i was about the weight loss! We waited for 30mins for Oz to do a poop for the vet to check but he wouldn't perform! The vet found one in the water dish and checked that, but didn't find anything especially wrong. I've been given a couple of slides and i've been told to make some poop smears when i get the chance so he can check a couple more. I told him how Blinkie stressed at the needle and he said i should just keep using the water meds, for Ozzie too. He decided not to give Oz another injection cause he didn't want him to be in any pain or stress. Ordinarily i would have to go back next week but he said that because i'm good with weighing them and monitoring their health i could just ring next week, or bring Oz in if his weight keeps dropping. If it does i think the vet was going to look at some more specific meds rather than the more general psittavet powder the birds are on at the moment. Fingers crossed that my little Mozzie starts stacking those grams back on soon!! Better news for Stinkie Blinkie. I weighed him this morning and his weight appears to be creeping back up which is fantastic! Not to mention he's been eating and....well.....let's just say he's enjoying having the cage to himself.....gives him some privacy for certain....male behaviours.
