  1. Are we looking at the same picture??? Looks 100% male to me. :bluebudgie:
  2. Could just be that it's poorly marked though. It's definitely a confusing budgie!
  3. That's the one i'm talking about. I posted the piccy of the easley clearbody in my post above. The only thing that doesn't really match is the cheek patches. They're not silver/grey/violet as the article describes.
  4. What if it were the other type of clearbody? I think it's easly clearbody or something like that...? Do they also have the grey flights? *edit* A little bit of detective work, (Laughing out loud), here's a picture of an easley clearbody: I think that's what you're birdy is! It's the bird on the right. Clearly it's got dark flights.

    A lovely hen.

Well 90% of the time he gets out is with me. :oliveb: I'm trying to get Tim to play with him more. I'm not all that happy with my budgie duo being a trio cause poor Blinks gets forgotten. :ausb: Ozzie seems to think that Fizzy is more fun. Luckily Fizz goes to bed much earlier than the boys so Blink does get his Ozzie time!
  7. Well it's also for playtime and variety. I wouldn't like to be in a small cage (in comparison to open space) 24/7, would you? It's nice for them to get out and play with their flock (in your case that would be you). You could put him on his cage and then sit on the opposite side of the room. If he wants to hang out with you then he'd have to fly. :oliveb:
  8. I noticed Jasper and Jenga having a cuddle in the aviary today and was thinking that they might be a nice pair in the spring time (when Jen is old enough for breeding). I am curious to know what the pairing would produce: skyblue spangle x normal grey It is possible that Jasper is split to opaline, cinnamon and ino.

All the flock were busy doing birdy things last night. As usual i was armed with my camera. Fizzy was being generally hyperactive - as usual Cookie was being beautiful Bailee was hanging out with mummy (me) Blinko was helping me beat Tim at UNO Then he was busy launching at the camera And at me And playing with his mirror friend And Ozzie was playing with his new best friend Fizzy, poor Blinkie has been sidelined. :ausb: Then the meany boys went and invaded Bailee's special foot Aren't they meany poos. :oliveb:
  10. There's another type of clearbody, it could be that.

What a mean mummy!! Teasing him with his own tail feather. :oliveb:

I thought saw dust was a no-no in nesting materials because it's fine and could be inhaled or swallowed? I would think the same would apply for husks...
  13. It's illegal to keep a wild native animal as a pet. If you were a rescue worker or rehabilitator then there would be different rules but you would still not be able to catch wild animals to keep as pets.

I kept getting Sluggish Snail or whatever the worst one is. Only because i kept pressing the button by accident and getting penalties. I finally controlled myself and got Bobbing Bobcat. :oliveb:

The budgie could've had some fun with some beetroot. Or the owner could've done something either one the computer or with some sort of dye to alter the colour.

Shouldn't be too much of a problem. I let my tiels and budgies out together. At first they were a little wary and one of the tiels (Bailee) has a total fit if one of the budgies comes near him (just a lot of noise, no biting). The other tiel (Cookie) is the object of Blinkie's affections a lot of the time and loves hanging out with the budgie boys. Ozzie mostly just ignores them unless he's feeling cheeky and decides to pull their tail or crest. If you were around to supervise i doubt you'd have many problems.
  18. Yup!! He hasn't played any more evil stunts.

I like Fuzzychops and Chilli best!! :ausb:
  21. My boys go to bed between 10-11pm when i go to bed. The tiels go to bed earlier than that cause they get grouchy otherwise. If the budgies started getting grouchy, i'd put them to bed earlier.

Love this one of Oz And this one of Blinkie This one of Buzz (RIP) This one of Blinkie on discovering that he's not the only budgie in the world And can't forget this shot of Lord Evil as a baby, awwwwww :ausb:

Are his poops normal and is he eating normally? I would think that it's the stress from the move too, and hopefully he'll get used to it. Although, as you've said that he's been in this area before it doesn't really make sense... There's nothing different in the environment is there? More dust? Nearer to somewhere cleaning products are used? Anything else like that....?

(Laughing out loud)! Poor Cookie, she's so outnumbered by boys! Got some pics of afternoon tea today: Started with some bok choy (that's the veggie of the week here at the moment, we've run out of carrots!) Blinkie was too busy with more important things Like looking sexy And seducing the mouse While Bailee was too busy playing with a feather Next we had some apple Blinkie quickly discovered the source of the apple (me and my plate) and came to eat with me, uninterupted by the others With full tummies everyone needed some rest And after rest it was time for more flirting from Blinkie
  25. I think it's alright too. Copper bells are on all the Penn Plax playgyms...
