  1. Took this photo several days ago thinking i was just getting a cute photo of Blinkie snoozing. Then i looked back at it and noticed the conveniantly placed "B", (Laughing out loud)!! I think it's pretty cool!
  2. Did it have a stripey looking belly. I once got a goshawk checking out my aviary and it was brown with a brown and white striped/speckley tummy.
  3. They're all gorgeous!!
  4. Looks great!! They're so lucky to have their own room.
  5. If they're badly overgrown they'll probably need to be trimmed back asap by the vet. And yes, i hate it when the camera batteries are flat, always happens when you need the camera the most!

Welcome to the forums! If you're looking to establish a breeding stock go to a breeder. Many people breed the smaller "pet" type budgie and in my experience they are the most commonly found budgies for sale in pet shops and from many hobby breeders. Buying from a breeder rather than a pet shop will mean that you'll start with unrelated budgies and you'll know their ages and possibly even any hidden genes they have. This is providing the breeder keeps good records of course. I'm not sure of any breeders in your area but i'm sure someone here will be able to help you!

Happy 11th Birthday Zues! That's fantastic that he's still going strong.
  10. I'm sure he does. I would if something pesty like a budgie kept pulling my whiskers. :fear I usually get the budgies away from him asap when i notice.
  11. OMG!! I would've died laughing!!! :fear
  12. Glad you found her!! :fear
  13. Too cute!! Send him over please!!!
  14. :(Laughing out loud): I think we'll find there are lots of cheeky budgie boys out there who also have no shame. Poor Oz though! When Blinkie goes for the rings Oz has to hide right up on top of the swing or else Blinkie will come to chase him away from his "lover". If i take the rings out Blinkie grabs the traffic lights, take them out and he'll get the blocks. There's no stopping him.....
  15. I have two budgies and two tiels, each is very bonded to me and also bonded to the flock. They'll all come to me for some cuddles at some stage in the day. I spend hours with them each day, perhaps that's why i've remained a member of the flock.
  16. I'll start with the flight photos! Blinkie was the model cause he's easy to lure back and forth using a mirror, (Laughing out loud)! Now for some other photos i've taken this afternoon! Oi you!! This is my cage!! Back off! Fine! I'll eat some veggies then! Me too! *munch* Oohhh!! Food!! *is happy* Well, i'm full now! What to do....hey, i'll go say hi to Mickey! *grabs Mickey's paw* Hi Mickey!! *evil budgie cackle*
  17. Any guesses what it is? Take some "humping rings" ... He doesn't waste any time does he???!!! Be warned though Such strenuous sports are exausting! But fit little budgies like Blink recover quickly!! *shakes head with shame* Boys will be boys...

  20. A female never has blue that deep. A female will have a very white looking pale blue. You've got a male.
  21. Gorgeous flock you've got there!
  22. On my screen the cere is blue.
