Cleaning the nest Box
the eggs can be wiped with a damp cloth if you think they are going to hatch but once again i try not to touch the eggs at all once i have marked them if you do clean the box out are you putting a bit of wood shavings in the bottom of the nest this will help to soak up some of the Fecal Matter and keep the chick and eggs clean

Going into the nest box But not in Condition
you should never buy a bird without a ring on really unless you really trust the person you are buying from as you can not be sure of the age
-

3 out of 6 for exhibition birds would be excellent 3 out of 6 for a maiden hen would be very good 3 out of six for a normal pet budgie that has bred before is a little low

My Baby Budgies - Photos
you can get wet and dry nests which could be the cause of the wet feces i clean my nests every three days if they are wet,you will not need a heat source for them with those temps my breeding room is kept at a min 10 degrees to 15 in the winter when they are breeding

An egg has hatched !
the crop should be full if they are feeding it,you have two choices foster it if you can and place another chick in that is a few days old and has been fed or hand feed it acouple of times to keep its strength up it is not unusuall for a hen not to feed the first time it has chicks or evan the second clutch but if the chicks are making a lot of noise then you should be able to get the hen to relise she has to feed them

How to Determine
i wouldnt worry about the spots one of the difficulties of breeding pieds for show is the spots a lot of them just dont have them, well if i was to breed her their are some faults with her body colour but for a pet bird i think she is very very pretty and would breed her with a a good sky blue or cobalt,as for her colour to me i would probably go for cobalt but there are a couple of photos that she could be sky blue
-
How to Determine
i would put a yellow face opaline blue to the clearwing for rainbows
