  1. I can see the stretching ^^^^^and blurring of the feathers just here hahahha that would be funny seeing you do that! Maybe these budgies mated with the sparrow that's in the cage with them and that's the newage look for budgies x sparrows
  2. That is a really good informative article. Thanks so much for sharing. I hope your microscopic adventures are going well and you're learning and seeing many new things!
  3. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ahem sorry but they are the strangest looking budgies I've seen. I know you can get crested budgies, but that looks completely fake. They look a cross between a feather duster and one of those fantailed pigeons But with crests.Done via Photoshop?Oh and GB - if your mouse has a scroll button and you press it, then it will make your screen scroll up and down
  4. Mr Rush, Mrs Grumble or Mr Impossible? haha The Mr Men series - these guys are all purple. Count from Sesame Street? Clifford!!!!!! Clifford is a Muppet character, performed by Kevin Clash. He is a violet-colored creature with orange dreadlocks and big lips.
  5. I was reading Kaz's Junior Flights thread today and whilst I was doing so, my husband came up to have a look at the pictures. He said to me not to move as there was a bug on my screen and he will get it. I let him tap and flick it for a minute before telling him it was a cyber bug hahahaha whoops
  6. hahaha that's a pretty nifty effect Kaz! He's a Houdini (spelling?)

Quarantine is when you bring home a new bird and you keep it in isolation (away from your other birds) for at least 30 days to make sure that the bird is free from diseases. Diseases can be brought out in stress Click Here to find out more
  8. Its been terribly hot here too. We've not even had the slightest hint of a breeze. I've been out four times today to check on my birds and give them a spray and some more ice in their water. They all like the ground at the moment, and their vegie plate - must be nice and cool for them. I thought Mrs Santa had passed as she was lying on the ground, but she had made a sand "nest" on the ground to keep cool. I'm sorry for your losses RIP Its not nice weather for our poor feathered friends. I hope you don't have any more losses. Dave, its always horrible and hot in the summer here, i'd be much happier if the temp got no higher than 30c Sadly that only happens in Autumn, Winter and Spring.
  9. Grimace - the purple creature from Mcdonalds?
  10. Good luck!!
  11. Oh Dave, I'm so sorry. I do hope you mange to find out what's wrong so you're able to save the rest. It would be awful to lose the lot.

Good stuff I thought that too but I didn't want to say it on here just in case said person was viewing these threads and posts as a guest... It is good we can rally together isn't it? I'm glad you have support from so many people

I've only just gotten to this thread as my internet connection keeps dying. I am so sorry to hear about this Kaz! What a horrible thing to do! That certainly is very daring, doing something like that - I've seen your place and I wouldn't have thought that area would be the most easily accessible sort of place, nor would I have thought anyone would do that at all. Your aviary seemed very secure. It worries me greatly. I hope whomever it is, realises that you will not put up with something like that - its just not right. I didn't think people would be like that. I hope you haven't lost any of your beautiful birds - they are safer with you than out in the wilderness and if the person was trying to "save/release" them, then they have big issues. Sounds bad, but could you maybe stick some sort of barbed wire along the edges where the screws are? Hmmm maybe not such a good idea
  17. love, love LOVE these three! Especially your Elly-phant

  24. I was reading up on diseases in Budgies the other night, trying to understand more about them and came across Splat's thread about them. She mentioned using Pea Beau/Mortein for airsack mites http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....344&hl=lice It helped me lots as it was all on the one page, symptoms and treatments for quite a few things. Sorry nothing is working for you Kaz, what a bummer I bet your bird is still stunning though
