So very sorry for your loss splat, I was away down south so have only just come on here......but WOW what fantastic offspring and grandoffspring he has! They most certainly do have a huge wow factor. I can see careful breeding there, they are amazing. And you can see he will definitely live on and on - in your heart and in your future birds

Baby Budgie In Bird Shop
I know exactly which place you're talking about and know that they aren't the best place around. I went there a fair awhile ago and there were two cages full of adults and babies who had beak and feather. I told a staff member and they laughed at me and said I didn't know anything because I was young (I would have been around 20) at the time. So ever since I've never been there. It's sad to see they are still doing things like that, poor birds

My Plans For My Aviary
okay, I shall give that a go Doing that though, would mean I can't fix the aviary to the slab wouldn't it? I was actually just informed by Malcolm that pavers would raise the inside of the aviary floor by about 5cms... but they would be placed on the concrete slab - would that work? I'd have to cut them to suit as well wouldn't I?He said that placed inside the aviary so the aviary was around them not on them, would work fine as water would trickle underneath. But I'm not too sure they would be a good idea. Soo confusing but I will try anything to make sure my birds are safe On another note - I am picking up my 3mx3m shed this week so I can make a birdroom!!

My Plans For My Aviary
Thank you!!! Its a big work in progress, but I'm so happy with it at the moment. Your new little girl is just so adorable, looks abit like Pepper Just a younger darker version of her. Too cute!! Do they get on well now? Good on you for rescuing and homing her from S.A.F.E In regards to my aviary - can anyone please tell me how they stop the water from running into the aviary from underneath? I am pretty sure that when it rains, it will run along the concrete into the bottom of the aviary - something I definitely DON'T want.

Baby Opaline Budgie
HI Finnie I've been thread digging and came up with this Spangle to Spangle pairing of Kazs'. AND who should it be? SANTA hahah I was looking for Spangle pairings and after I had been going through the thread I realized that it was about my gorgeous boy, his siblings and parents. http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....24664&st=40 <---that particular page has pictures of two young opalines But the whole thread has loads of pictures on it....Plus I know you like Spangles as much as I do

Another Violet!
- Need Help With This One
Isn't the rule - generally if you see ANY white or brown on the cere, that it indicates it is a hen? It is hard to sex a young budgie, maybe try another photo in a different light, that window has alot of lovely light coming through - what about trying in the evening when you have your lights on? That may make the photos look different again Or may wait til your lil baby is a bit older. Either way, he/she is a gorgeous little bird- Microscope Images Of Sick Birds Droppings
Hi Splat, I've been reading up on diseases and poops so I can get a better understanding of potential problems with birds and I came across Dr Marshall's site with pictures of different diseases under the microscope. Thought it might be useful for your studies with your microscope :emoticon112: http://www.birdhealth.com.au/about/microscope.html- Your User Name - What Does It Mean?
Nooo, not just bogans and country people, all sorts, but those in particular came to mind as one of my friend's fiance is a country boy and he regularly says peoples names like the way you said Rinaiiii HAHA Rezza :emoticon112:- Defields Breeding Journal For 2010
Sorry about the loss of your little one, but congratulations on another pinkie!! :grouphug:- Another Violet!
I'm not sure of the mutations, but just wanted to say she is a pretty little thing :grouphug:- Question ?
awwwww they're so gorgeous Kaz, sorry that the hen destroyed them :grouphug:- Budgie Singing
My budgies imitate Lorikeets, Galahs and especially the honeyeaters so I'd say yes they can imitate other birds' songs. :grouphug: - Need Help With This One
