I like to help whenever I can Were you meaning something like this GB? This is what I was trying to upload, but couldn't until I found a better program (courtesy of defieldsfamily - thanks for that ) The measurements aren't quite accurate, but you get a general idea of what i'd like. Now I need to try and do it in 3d for better viewing.

Thank you That's okay, I understand completely. I haven't been able to do much lately anyway as i've been going on so many job interviews and trying to source a childcare service in case I do happen to get a job...need to fund the ever increasing budgie hobby somehow!

Oh thank you I keep fiddling around with ideas - I've now decided I want to try and incorporate some suspended flights into the plan - which would make things alot easier, but as the new aviary is a prefabricated one, I can't quite modify the ends without removing them completely. i'm sure I shall think of something GB - If I were in Melbourne, I'd gladly come and help you with your aviaries. I wouldn't do it for money, but for the love of our feathered friends and to help you. xox (bonus would be my being able to view your birds :D )
  5. ooh I like that alot!!! It's similar to my design - I too have an L shaped design I have downloaded that program too and i'm going to try it out - see if helps me easier I really like how you've decided to put a bench outside the outdoor flight - great way to relax, sitting with your birds

My aviary plans have come to a halt I'm stuck on ideas on how to modify it. And I am unable to put the new plans up as i have done them through a software program that wont let me up load.
  7. That's okay :rip: Have you had any luck playing around with that program? I have done a pretty good job with my plan....only problem is I can't upload it
  8. Ohhhh GB so very sorry to hear about poor little Fred. You persevered with her so fantastically and she definitely would have died days ago without your love, care and help. :rip: Little one p.s the photos are beautiful
  9. I bought mine online - not because I needed it but so I had it in stock just in case my birds showed the symptoms. Usually you're required to have a prescription to buy Ronivet S but as I didn't have any birds with Canker, I couldn't very well take them to the vet and ask for the stuff. This may not be the most practical way of going about it, but at least I have it and won't need to worry quite so much if my birds did show symptoms and I can treat as I find I spoke to my vet and he has said he doesn't have Ronnivet-S but he has the generic of which i will gladly be picking up this afternoon. I'ts funny you were only saying yesterday about cocci and now i have another issue. Is this something that happens in most aviary's and do we have a preventative treatment for canker or is it only if signs start to appear. lib I know some people use Ronnivet S two to three (usually only two) times a year through their flock as a preventative.
  10. Your birds are looking great Dave but these boys are fabulous!(well they are to me anyway ) Well done!
  11. Yes they do have more fur but they still have that love and affection that comes with the Rex variety of cat. Much much better temperament than my little tabby who has a bit of a fetish for skin and ankles hahahah I love her dearly she's been my best friend for 7 years now and still acts like the scatty little kitten I brought home.
  12. Oh she is beautiful Kaz! I love them, they are the most affectionate little cats. My best friend has two Cornish Rex cats, they're brothers - they remind me of fluffy apricot marshmellows and are the best little cats. It's funny, you wouldn't think they're brothers as Felix is short haired and Oscar is long haired - well the longest you can get on a Rex hahaha
  13. :hap: HAHAHAHA sorry That is highly amusing :D
  14. Gosh Nubbly is looking great Even with the heat - you can still see they are very good looking babies
  15. I saw this in the shout box and had to say CONGRATULATIONS on your new grandbundle of joy :o I hope it all went well
  16. oh oooh how exciting!! :o You must be so excited!
  17. They will be fantastic for tomorrow and Friday Kaz - it's supposed to be 42 tomorrow and 41 on Friday! :o I will be spending the next couple of days venturing out to my aviary numerous times to make sure they're alright. Well that's in between interviews.
  18. Hi Try this http://sketchup.google.com/ I've been fiddling around with it as I too have been sourcing a way to design my aviary better - I've also been using a 3d shed program but can't seem to find the link. When i do, I shall place it here Hope this helps.

Do a colouring in competition with a picture of a budgie and the prize could be "budgie sized" snacks
  20. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA That's so funny!! :budgiedance: :bliss:
  21. Gosh you have taken some wonderful photos - thanks so so much I love the colours of the yellowface spangle! He is gorgeous. Congratulations to all the winners! Brilliant work Can't wait til I can try and do this
  22. hahaha someone got bored or frustrated or just wanted to play!! The Albino hen chewed up her label! It's nice to see the budgies' playful/cheeky/naughty side when normally they're meant to be perching nicely in their cages Well nice and funny to those who haven't entered them into the show - not so nice for their owners who hope they behave themselves
  23. Gosh wow, what a great day! Congratulation Nubbly on your placings! that's fantastic :) Thanks for the photos Kaz, its great to see how it's all set up and to see the birds too. Good to see Gary hard at work judging away - he was judging there wasn't he?
