  1. Thanks for this Kaz. I didn't fully understand why Hans had to give up his birds - I knew it was health related but didn't understand what Budgie Lung was.
  2. He's a pretty little one. Looking at your last picture he looks to be male?
  3. Oh wow Dave, they are brilliant! Good job!

I didn't think of that! That would mean I could have nine cages! Would that be too many for a first timer? I guess I don't need to use them all at once Gosh exciting times!

ooh thanks for the cabinet measurements Karen. I was thinking of making them two cages wide and 3 high - if the average cage is 60cm and im doing two which will make 120cm then i have 70cm space left at the side and would leave around 70cm from the roof, or are my calculations out of whack? I hate math OR maybe I could do a corner one cabinet - gosh endless posibilities. I am getting an outdoor sink from bunnings that I will be able to use in there as well so I don't have to keep lugging the water around all the time.

Just wondering if someone could help with my birdroom? I'm in the process of sorting measurements and trying to finalise my breeding room plans. Is 1.9 Metres wide x 1.7 deep x 1.8 high suitable for 3-6 breeding cabinets? These are the measurements I think will work for my birdroom but not sure if its enough space or suitable? Or is it okay for my first birdroom? These are the proper measurements I have and the final layout providing its suitable. I know it looks the same as all the other plans but I want to make sure it's done right before adding the birdroom and junior flight
  10. I can't help you with the pictures and links, sorry. Just wanted to say if you're an old lady, that makes me ancient
  11. They look gorgeous, Love Monster! The little Green Opaline hen - is it just me or does she seem to have a really clear mantle? I ask because I find it unusual as most have a more "dirtier" undefined mantle. Does that make sense?
  12. HAHAAHAH

  16. close Squeak_Crumble you forgot the C in it Kelwyn Kakoschke - he's had some budgies in one of the BRASEA auctions. He has some lovely birds. Being a Rare budgie club, i'd have thought he would mention a pink budgie in here if he had one? Unless of course he didn't want people to know? He has also written an article on Trimming The Vent and In Breeding and Line Breeding - both articles I found useful. Still not sure about the pink budgie though
  17. Which treatments have you looked at? And where abouts? I know different places sell for different prices. Next time I am needing products, I will be going to get them from the budgie club - cheaper than all the shops :fingerscrossed: I have used Aristovet Sulphadim and that was between $10 and $15 ( can't remember exact price) I use 5ml per litre of water. Coccivet too isn't too expensive - I think that ranges between $17-$30 depending on where you go, works well too :cake:

  25. Without trying to confuse things more, would the little Creamino happen to be a YF DF Spangle too? Or do I still have Spangle Brain?? Just trying to learn more myself She looks similar to both Rose's cock and your cock Kaz. Love your cock Kaz, the blow is awesome. Rose your birds are gorgeous! Your little Creamino is so cute and the lute looks like a protective friend for her
