  1. its a virus and possably it could be a carryer bird if you dont have fm in your flock and want to try and keep it that way i wouldnt take it but then in saying that some birds that get fm fully recover so you mayhave a bird whom had it you would never know unless brought young or breed yourseelf they say birds that never recover carry it but stress starts it off (activates the virus) from what i can gather so many different thoughts on matter some say all birds hold the virus sorry i dont have more
  2. what about cw cant he help you get seed and millets , i know what your saying about club input and everyone to themselfs i useto feel that way myself but im sure if you ask you will revive help , with my club its not that they dont want to help its time distance and all that that comes into account but if i really needed something bad like seed or even meds advice what not than they pull together to find someone that can help me (although i really do try do everything myself , like other week i had a fall and for three days i was bed ridden and i called a member who couldnt make it but came the next day to feed and water birds clean chick mouths the lot i was very thankful as he doesnt live just 10 minits away its quiet some distance and birds needed food just lucky i have mason jar feeders and the green water tubes , i filled before night i fell :hap: i know you can get millets from the show but personally i thought it was a bit to wet to trust feeding to my birds so i didnt get any but he was rather cheep white jap too
  3. good luck with it all
  4. the leaves are actually better for them than the head :fear
  5. 110 yes thats a better price thought i was paying way too much :fear but beggars cant be choosers its better than 8 dollors a bunch and only 15 millits per bunch i think but then i wouldnt know as im dislextic and just have to trust my supplyer that their giving me better deal with buying box not bunches sounds like im being jibbed now you say 110
  6. given fact its yf and blue it makes a slight diffrence to the markings it has so you can see the blue showing slightly through which could b giving the greywing effect
  7. thats two, to two anyone else think 1) clearwing 2) greywing
  8. okay you wrote this so when were the /albino yf boy and the albino hens three due or do you not keep record of that ? also i suggest when you find out whos chicks are whos you work out exactly what you albino hen is masking its very very helpful to know another thing why would you be thinking rec pied  do you have any history on your birds ??? if not can you find some out at least Peronts of birds you brought that would stop your need to guess and cut back the options you may produce also the dark pin look could indicate a yf chic so theirs that also I forgot to record dates, all I know is both clutches were laid at the same time (eg. grey-green hen layed on one day, and I got an egg from albino that day also) The albino hen is sitting on another clutch now, so I will find out what she is masking then I hope. The reason I am thinking rec. pied or cinnamon is because of the plum eyes, which Kaz suggested. I mis-read them at first, and they are actually Plum. I don't know the people that breed the grey-green/ lt. green pair, I will ask the breeder of the split /ino and ino hen though. YF.... I guess. So much guesswork with budgies, time will tell you wrote dates eggs were layed on here did you not and albino and yf / breeding thinggy try work it out from that also i cant see anything but white down no feathers defenently no blue
  9. well to b diffrent i think its a clearwing as its cheek patches are violet not blue
  10. the second one is also opaline spangle why wings look diffrent as far as looks go for pet breed birds they are prettygood in size nice colours
  11. not if its full body grey wing hans they are beautiful perfect to breed rainbows
  12. ratsy but if its a duck and it quacks i guess ?????
  13. i pay 160.00 for 15 killo millet sprays i dont know if thats good or not but its all i can get so.... its soked in cod liver i think as has that fishy smell to it birds pig it down and nothing ever been sick from it mabe a diffrent fishie smelling oil one that doesnt go rancid as my millits fresh as still so really it cant be cod liver but its something
  14. pinky yeeeeeeeeeeee congrads take a look at the topic kaz made on chicks and raising im no good at linking you their but im sure kaz knows one i mean extra veg isnt just always enough it depends what you give now off topic one thing does anoy me here on this sight is their is so many things saying what you can give extra and also things saying that you should be feeding your pairs extra min vits and stuff to get them into a good condition yet no one seems to do this at least a month before pairing they should be getting feed prepritive food ready for the prosses of laying mateing rearing extra this is not directed at you jack just dont people inform themselves of things before deciding to breed these days should cause then they wouldnt need to ask simple basic stuff that is so borring and everywhere on this bird sight
  15. snap i do same ...just need to watch what you suck up
  16. um plenty more than i can fit in mine at 3 mt by 3mt by 210 highest point and i kept compatibly 100 birds now i cut in in half i cut my stock down to around 60 its got plenty room for say 20 more compatibly
  17. lol if i was dave i wouldnt pay till i saw evidance wheres the pics come on
  18. well kaz is not wrong could be rec but i believe more pos to be cinnamon i also noticed my split inos eyes although dark look kind of redish plum but they are all clearly not cin or rec or another plum eyed typeing so maybe something to that also my split cin boys to this also accrues i know im going to get told imposable but im not blind and i record all eye colors at birth so ..not saying your chick is the same just saying genetics is funny thing
  19. just one or the other i prefer spiniach as i said comes pre packed and lasts longer i find but i use silver beet in flights i just leave it stand in a cold place in a bucket of water add a touch of salt if it goes brown stalks or yellow youve put to much salt oh and yes mix the weet bix and egg shell in all with grated carrot
  20. okay you wrote this so when were the /albino yf boy and the albino hens three due or do you not keep record of that ? also i suggest when you find out whos chicks are whos you work out exactly what you albino hen is masking its very very helpful to know another thing why would you be thinking rec pied do you have any history on your birds ??? if not can you find some out at least Peronts of birds you brought that would stop your need to guess and cut back the options you may produce also the dark pin look could indicate a yf chic so theirs that also
