  1. please im just me im not looking like anyone else me me me i know im not the most feminine looking woman but pink **** think ill have to go back to dark if thats the case pink who next seems i cant have any hair style with out being told i look like someone from the music world or tv cant i just look like me please
  2. thats really good to hear im very glad you had the experiance 'and hope you get nerves to do it again
  3. Just because a bird is certain colour and size, it doesn't mean they need to be the same gender. eg. im sorry but that is just a random statment if i ever heard one the bird looks to be cock as its got blue on its cre no white rings around nostrils but a very purpley look to it as for the rings and nostrils thing thats not a sure sighn but can indicate toward being female but that cinnamon green is in my opinion a cock bird as for what i said before its quiet easy to work out its possible gender if the genetics were known to us unless both peronts were cinnamon or mother was cinn and father split to it thats what i was getting at
  4. well what is mum and dad as if mum is not cinnamon but dad is then it has to be a female and if its dad and mum are both not cinnamon then that means that it also must b female if mum is cinnamon and dad also then could be male or female im saying male looks male to me also if mum cin and dad is normal it could be male or female but i still say male
  5. then theirs the dominate colours that are only able to be produced if you have that variety these birds are not split they are dominant in breeding so half the clutch is usually that variety these are dom pieds spangles dutch pids also called clearflighted pieds yf birds but yf a bird can be split yf so im told but i still understand that differently wacko.gif i did try explain not well mind you also a df spangle with a normal will give you all spangle chicks as its a double dose of the dominant gene as with df dom pied to normal df yf to normal its very complex but quiet easy to grasp
  6. nice healthy chick good work
  7. hey their jack well split also seen as / refers to a male or female bird having either a sex linked gene or a recessive gene hidden in their make up example a blue opaline cock bird / albino so here you can see the bird is visually only a blue opaline but hidden in his make up is the fact that he is from albino breeding it could mean either peront was albino either mum or dad or it could just mean his own father was split albino and he was passed on that sex linked genetic or as in recessive birds the same thing apply's but the difference is with a recessive bird the genetic thats / lets say greywing then both birds would need to be split for the actual visual appearance of a greywing in a clutch where as with a sex linked / bird such as albino only the male can be split and doesnt need to be with a bird of that linkage to produce a vishial ,.... but in this case all the chicks that are visual will only ever be female how as with a rec / bird young that are visual in nest could turn our either cocks or hens i hope that makes scene here is the list of sexlinked birds the one where only the male can be / too and females can only ever be visual opaline albino or lutino lacewing cinnamon a list of rec variertys fallow rececive pied clear wing grey wing dilute crested dark eyed clear you also can get birds split for blue but never split to green then theirs the dominate colours that are only able to be produced if you have that variety these birds are not split they are dominant in breeding so half the clutch is usually that variety these are dom pieds spangles dutch pids also called clearflighted pieds yf birds but yf a bird can be split yf so im told but i still understand that differently :rip: their is most probably things ive missed but thats the general

  15. That's I thought Kaz because before the hen chucked him out his bum was fine and he had a full crop and really big like he was a huge had full and in about 3 days he now skin and bone and all fluffed up, no food in his crop completely empty. its a sighn of his system shutting down id cull it myself sad as it is its best for chick
  16. well im sorry to say but this method is not fool proof me being the fool today i had to anesthetize a young chick from nest for reasons of my desecration of its future health to not only it but my stud so i decided to do this method only i knocked the poor thing clear out unconscious as you would a person if they were to hold their breath i didnt know what to do its heart was still beating very steady and the chick was plain knocked out so i ran around like an idiot trying to think of what to do poor little thing im sure it was brain dead or something i felt so so bad my normal method the vet told me just requires me to not really need to be near bird when it genitally goes to sleep through a self induced coma so i was devastated with this chick in my hand heart still pumping away not knowing what to do in the end i tossed it to the dog as i couldn't bear the poor little thing waking up and looking at me mabe bad move but im sure that would of ended any pain it may or may not of been in if it woke up so im never ever going to try this on a adult bird ever im just going to stick to my easy simple way the vet told me was humane and works just thought id share not all people may be able to do this i couldnt i completely stuffed it
  17. no kaz is right as sounds like canker but vet needs to diagnosis before he can be treated he could die quiet quickly vet will need to give him a shot to help him maybe keep him over night till he stabilizes when its that bad as stops his breathing propply
  18. dont be sorry his your bird you would know but be nice to see pics even if he doesnt make it personally id put him out of misery if that bad
  19. hello today i had a friend bring me some nice big pieces of cuttle bone straight from beach i was wondering what others do before giving it to birds do you wash it ,if so hot or cold do you sun bake it oven bake if so for how long or do you just brush off the sand and feed ??? the last thing i want to do is introduce some bug but at same time i want to keep the goodness of the fresh salt opinions please

  24. oh dam that means the albino chick i fostered last week must be .....omg.....dead :D dam i have a zombie chick on my hands maybe thats why my babys have been attacking me lately next time you see that person ask them if a dominant bird can actually be a recessive bird at the same time if thy say nodont listen to their information again as the know squat and i dont care who or how many years they been breedingYes, I will also ask him about my hen split ino. lol oh yes because shes going to breed you the best inos you can breed if you put her to the / ino cock as you need a ino cock to get any ino chicks as shes only split    warning these last 2 comments are wrong advice we are being but sarcastic
