Violet Pied?
if you move on your pets only do it if you are really interested in showing soon as you get show birds its very hard to move them on no one seems to want them and unless your doing good with them well they are hard to sell yet pets seem to go more than the show type mostly as the show birds are not pretty colors however that will change now you can breed agf and violet they are beautiful spangles and as far as demand violets the colour most wanted yf and spangle it's like sold before their hatched im lucky i can move my birds fairly well or dont mind holding on to them till they find homes or someone rings asking

well may gain enough strength to be pet but i would never breed it is it developing properly ?? other ways or slowly
-
First Breeding Journal
maddy it does sound like a hip issue i would not be breeding it weather it is good hen or not tame it for a pet and give it away or keep in flight to look at hip disorders are not something you want to be breeding into your birds and i myself cull them at birth soon as i see they are not fixable reason for this is they do struggle to get around as the leg has controle of the bird not the bird of the leg if you understand as pets fine but not many want a gammy budgie

wow sorry to hear your bad flood news and im glad you have in under control your young blue is a beautie and as for daddy loving you hes trusted you with his chick and can see you are no harm alot of my birds have this trust the cocks that is i think you will be surprised with the out come of your little fluffy pancake also looks to have all the features of a nice chick emerging is it possibly a cinnamon or am i just seeing things as for chick with the leg issue is it possible it was broken and twisted very young then reset its self as kaz said look it over very close do as she has said checking its main joint points and come back with your results look at weather the legs are same size or if it is longer than the good one also

Back To Your Roots
i agree with its not your wallet its your vision you need to breed what pleases you not what pleases other or you will lost interest to quickly if you win you win if not well you have your hobby as enjoyment regardless and beautiful birds that please your eye yes their is certain things you must have for show these days like the feather but i proved to myself the other week that as long as i breed true to my want my look and in my own time then winning or coming up among the others is still possible

Aviary
i actually like this one and i think its got potential to vamp up( or if you like **** your aviary ) 250 is great for that as long as its got no rust your birds would fit in that with room to expand a bit i kept 40 birds in my 6 by 4 foot flight same height so they were comphy just need to set it out correctly so they are not crammed and can fly its easy done no more than 40 though

Back To Your Roots
splat that was a great response as it shows the truth behind what you know not who you know i personally dont need to go putting up pics but ill say this the birds i brought to start my albino line with . only cocks i have breed all my own albino hens i have only ever gone back to that same breeder to for stock for that line and same as my lacewings i brought 4 birds to start with all cocks and i breed my own visual hens then i got 2 visuals hens from the breeder and have kept all split cocks from these hens to two different cocks from related blood so im keeping one line pure and one im producing to be able to bring in as my own out crossed line but with some common blood i decided years ago this was how i was going to work my stud

Aviary
well im not sure (anyone feel free to help me here ) but i think the breeding cages you buy from shop the wire ones are 2 feet long or almost by 1 and a half by 1 and a half high so in saying that one them only houses around 4 birds thats if you have no nest box and its permanent will hold up to 20 very short term i put my birds 8 to a cage for 3 months when i was in the fires up here so when we evacuated to my uncles for then home after wards before i got my flight up if you were to make it to the floor and extend a pop out bit outside for flying bit more i think you may just get away with it so long as you only had say 30 birds no more what do others think ?? although the two aviary you were looking at much better size i think im sorry im having hard time scaling it all in my head

Avalon House -The Fox Stud-Gb8-Show Birds
also this is the normal rate of growth maddy for a good show bird so your baby now is not growing fast quick he is being looked after properly this intern making it possible for him/her to be maximizing his potential

Avalon House -The Fox Stud-Gb8-Show Birds
is but one baby hun although hes not out the nest yet so may not make it to breeding age the chances are he will but theirs always the possibility of losings him well if im going to get anywhere i have to get 7th at least next shields in albino young birds and 6th in ubc lacewing or my birds have not improved going to be lots of work and very thoughtful breeding involved
-
Aviary
im sorry hun your asking on very dyslexic person here so numbers mean not much to me like that if you could tell me in feet i may be able to help but im guessing its not much shorter than 90 cm ?? anyways you only have how many birds now to have in it ?? and with the pop out bit well you could tell your dad you could build a veggie patch under the space you use as pop out is better to not go to floor as mine is be on legs
