thanks guys now i am in the know about the differance i can really see it, this is good cause now I have a partner for Amelia:D can anyone take a guess at how old they are, Hulk cere is not real dark yet and Kits is brown but has a slight blue tinge at the top, above the nostrils (sorry if this is in the wrong section, please let me know if i should put it somewhere else)

okay here are my 2 latest additions Hulk I am guessing he is a normal dark (olive) green and here is Kit Kit I am not sure of so any suggestions would be great (i am thinking green spangle with something else)

okay I am really having trouble picking a mate for Penny, my albino show size hen I have a couple of boys that might be okay theres Pluto TJ and Eddie I am really not sure if any of these boys will do her justice, I am happy to try and find another boy, but really don't know what colour/mutation to get so any suggestions would be welcome

I am going to throw a curve ball here, could it be D3? I just bought some calcium supplement for my breeding hens and it has D3 in it aswell, it is suposed to help with the absortion of the calcium. I have heard of B12 though, I think it is used as a growth supplement (it is banned in english bird shows) though alot of websites seem to say that it is an imortant part of their diet.

okay cool, I have a tarp under them for now but was thinking of something like that, it's the biggest problem i have with all my cages

Thanks for that AV, i checked the holes in mine because i will have show sized birds in there aswell and they were to small so all fixed now, i hope your birds are okay after all that

Thanks Liv, I have some rearranging to do first and i am going to put it up off the ground but need hubby to help, I tried to make the holes in the side to put the boxes on the outside but my drill is playing silly buggers so have to go get some new drill bits, i must say i had alot of fun doing it

I think your right, i had wondered about the placing of the boxes cause i would have to move them to clean out the cage. Well i guess I will be testing my skills some more, thanks for you advice

Well I did it and all by myself to I turned this in to this It's certainly NOT a work of art but I think it will to the trick and just in time too, my girls will be out of quarantine by saturday and since they are all in condition (i think) then it will be time for them to meet the guys, lets hope they like it

Yep Barney is from the same place and i got him the other day so he will only have to spend a couple of extra days in quarantine

Thanks Elly I only got Barney the other day so he will only have to spend a few extra days in quarantine and they are from the same place so i was wondering if him and the first boy were from the same clutch.

okay so my mum needed a new fridge and stove so I went with her to advise and it just so happened that the bird shop was just up the street hmmmmmm and Barney looked so lonely in his quarantine cage all by himself so I stuck my head in and came out with these 2, I haven't named them yet but here they are My husbands so going to kill me but Barney now has friends for the next month and that is all that really matters isn't it

It is scary when something like that happens, they always seem to find the worst places to get stuck, i have a huge water heater in my laundry and the first evening I got my new girls Amelia escaped and managed to fall down the one corner she couldn't get out of, I had no torch to see her, i had to get a ladder to get over the top of the heater and ended up taping my fish net to a stick and fishing her out, I was scared to death, she was terified but luckly we have recovered and the damn hole has been covered up.

Thats what i was thinking as well, am not sure what was spilled on the shelves, it hasn't been used in about a year and it has no smell to it. I will give it a good scrub and I always line my cages with newspaper cause it makes them easier to clean. Thanks for that guys i'll let you know how it turns out :hap:

okay your colour cycles are different from ours:) I agree with liv multi vitanins till she is eating veggies and plenty of things for her to chew on, i put some nutural wood perches with the rough bark in for my guys they love to chew it and pick it off, for some reason they wont touch cuttle bone, i also put in some of those calcium and mineral bells

Hi everyone, i was going thought my shed the other day and a cabinate thing, would just like your opinion on turning it in to some breeding cages, the dinensions are 90cm wide 90cm tall and 40cm deep with the boxes being on the outside how many can it be made in to? i was thinking 2
