  1. I agree. My aviary birds get plenty of spinach/silver beet. My breeders occasionally get it but not too often as I as told it lowers calcium intake.
  2. thankyou very much Dean it is interesting about the opaline. I was under the impression it can be used to give more throat spots to birds. I've been told to use a heavy spot opaline with a light spotted normal to get more spots.
  3. 1.banana - Never tried it. 2.beetroot - Yes My birds love it. 3.lettuce - Too much water, not good, similar to celery 4.beetroot leaves - never tried. 5.apple carrot - Never tried apple, seeds are bad. carrot is excellent. 6.cabage.i was told that cabage was bad for them is that true - its toxic. 7.cucumber - never tried. 8.bokchoy - yes mine love it. 9.silver beet - yes mine love it. 4. Hi al. I've heard different mutations do different things with reguards to breeding. I've heard- spangles increase size. rec pieds decrease size. Cinnamon gets rid of suffusion. Are their any other mutations that do good for other mutations? Any information on this would be appreciated. thankyou,.

  23. I have a 39 day old chick that sits in the nest box 24/7 and I've never seen it fly. Not sure if their is somthing wrong with it, it is either very lazy or has somthing wrong with it. I have a pair of adult birds with their last clutch of babies of the year. The babies ages are: 43 days. 41 days. 40 days. 39 days 37 days the 39 days and 37 days babies are not even fully feathered... not even close. Im beginning to think their is somthing wrong their. The 43, 41 and 40 day old birds eat on their own so Im wondering if Im able to put them in a baby cage now? So the parents have less birds to deal with.
  24. tiny day 9. Almost double digits. Loving her leg ring.
