Why Is It That The Good Looking Birds Never Sit Still
tried to take a few photos today. especially wanted one or two from the big grey green cock. It was not easy. He would move around everywhere and headbutt the walls of the showcage. As well as sit in the corner of the show cage and try dig a way out.. He also did the very common jailbreak technique, running from one side to the other over 50 times. at the end I managed to get a few pictures of him and some other birds. As you will see from this thread, big heads do not mean big smart brains. hanging like a bat. climbing the wire finally some good pictures More birds. as you can see it is feeding time and it is a mad rush to get the entry point for food. Nibbler the other birds did not want photos taken as they were to busy eating the grass I picked.

Worried About Feeding Times
this is the picture. It is definitly a young bird. Should never have been sold at this age, very very irresponsible for a pet shop to sell at this age. You will need to get hand rearing mixture mate and also a warm lamp or somthing to keep the baby cool. It's very young. Good luck.

Worried About Feeding Times
best thing to do would be get some hand rearing mix from a store and give it to the chick. at 21 days old it wouldnt even have all its feathers. does it have all its feathers? do you have a picture?

Day 1 To Day 42.
Tiny's youngest sibling died today. He hatched one day early so that may have caused it. He could also have been suffocated or squashed by the other babies in the nest.

Day 1 To Day 42.
yes jimmy I thought it was every 2 days hatching and laying. I beleive the first 2 eggs were laid on the same day. Then the third and fourth eggs 2 days later on the same day. Then the rest were every 2nd day. I think incubation and that all plays a part in the hatch rate. It doesnt really bother me when they hatch, aslong as they hatch. Does anyone know why most eggs were laid on same day? thanks all.
