I was looking at your flowers in the pot wondering how long before the puppy pulls it to pieces.

I have done it, i have finally finished the avairy. It was dark by the time i finished fitting it out and moved the budgies so i will take some photos tomorrow.

They are so cute, cannot wait to see them.

He is very cute, i hope he settles into your home well.

She is a grey, her tail feathers are black and white.

She looks grey to me but i have never had a mauve to compare her too. She definitly has blue cheek patches not grey so is that a sign she is mauve not grey.

i am pretty happy with the dominant pied, only paid $ 20. She seems to have a big head so is she a show type or pet type. she is bigger than alot of my pet types.

At least i got the gender right on the budgies but not the type of one.

The wings marking are what confuses me with pieds. I only have male recessive pieds so now i have a female which is good. The grey is my first dominant, is it male or female? i thought hen when i bought it.

i went to the petshop to buy some bird seed and chook pellets. Hubby decided to stay in the car with the little kids because it was raining so 2 budgies just happened to jump in a box and came out of the shop with me. I am fairly sure they are both hens and dominant pieds because of their wing markings but i wanted other peoples opinions. It is raining so i had to use the flash for photos so their colours did not come out right. The one that looks about 6 months old is a grey and the baby is skyblue.

I am not sure exactly what you mean by upside down but Roxy loves to hang down the side of her containers.

They are so cute and i love their names.

i am glad to hear that it was nothing seriously wrong with your budgies but are your poor budgies going to have to endure lots of vet trips for regular checkups so you can ogle at the hot guy.

Here are some Roxy pics for you Kaz and anyone else who wants to see my cute very spoilt little girl. She is only 3 1/2 months old and she has already got her iris rings which i thought was not supposed to happen till they were 5 months. she is also a messy eating and can never keep her face clean. The fluff up look, just finished preening herself. Playtime, she loves trying to bite the wheels on my son's little cars. My daughter's glasses are another thing she loves.

All the joy and love i am getting from her now makes all those struggles in the beginning worthwhile. she is 3 1/2 months old now so i thinking it will not be long till she goes through her first moult and being a hen i am wondering how it will change her personality.

They sound so cute and i know how easy it is to get attached to them. I am glad you are going to still have one in your house and you will properly end up looking after it.

I have been training Roxy since she fledged and she does step up so i have been working on teaching her to come when i call her name. I started a few week ago by putting her on the top of her cage and standing near her and tapping my arm and saying "come Roxy". I have been rewarding her with a neck scratch which she loves when she comes to me. Sometimes she comes and other times she sees the other budgies and goes to them instead. Tonight she was on the top of her cage and i was sitting on the floor about a metre and a half away from her and i called her and tapped my arm and she flew straight to me amd landed on my shoulder. i am so excited she has never came to me before when i have been that far from her.

I have no answers to what the problems is but i just want to say that i hope things go well at the vets tomorrow and that your budgies and Bert will get better.

I do not mind waiting especially when someone else is making time to help me out when they already have a very busy life. I will just treat the budgie with other methods while i wait, i will give the olive oil a try.

I am getting some Ivermectin, just waiting for it to arrive. Just wondering what else i can use to treat her when the oil is not working while i am waiting for the Ivermectin. i have had to get Ivermectin from another member because the vets near me will not give it to you to use on budgies.

I have been using babyoil to treat the scaly face and all but one budgie have improved. I have been reading in a budgie book that you can use dettol and oil mixed together to treat scaly face. Has anyone used dettol on budgies and is it safe?

i think we all have those moments, Neat. I find it so hard to keep a track of all things i need to remember to do. My daughter had book week last week at her school and she informs me at 8pm the night before that she needed a costume to take to school the next morning. I hope the ice cream fixes everything.

It sounds like the school is being unreasonable, i would pull out too if i had to spend lots of money on a school concert. The school my kids attend do whatever they can to keep cost down for parents.
