Maesie And Deb's Adventures
I did clean under the cushions but sorry not under the fridge, too heavy for me to move. By the way Neat, it is 1 1/2 hours from my house to Jenene's. Give us a ring if you have problems with your map reading and hopefully Maesie or me will be able to help but seeing Maesie does not know the area and i am hopeless at directions it will be fun to see where you end up.

Maesie And Deb's Adventures
It has been really great having Maesie visit, we have been having lots of fun. Done lots of shopping and more shopping. Took Maesie 4wdriving on the beach today and it was hot. Kids had heaps of fun playing in the water. Been having lots of late nights so Maesie will need to catch up on sleep when she gets home. Even decided to add some excitemet to her holiday and have a double shooting 5 minutes down the road, it was all on the news here not sure if other members heard about it. The town was closed off but kids were still allowed to go to school. Looking forward to Monday when we get to meet Neat, i better start cleaning ready and not forget under the lounge cushions. Photos of the beach we went to today.

Paediatrician Visit
Thanks Kaz, Dave and Elly, I am glad to hear that teachers are being trained to teach children that need extra support. That is another thing i still have to organise, to talk to the school before he starts next year.

Paediatrician Visit
Thursday i took my son Jadon to a Paediatrician because i have been concerned about delayed development in certain areas and Preschool are also concerned about him. The Peadriatrician believes he has features of a Autism Spectrum Disorder and now i have to go through the long process of psychological test and other tests to decided what exactly his disorder is and what support he will need for the future. He is due to start school next year so all these tests need to be done before then. I have been given all these info yesterday about the long process i have to go through before i get a final disagnosis for my son that i feel like my brain is in overload. I have appointments in November for the psych tests so i hope they go well. I am already starting to stress out about how he will go at school and it is still months away.

Roxy,s Feathers
I used my hand blender and got it to look the same as her usual mix and she ate it. Yeah! Her crop was full so hopefully she will eat it again tomorrow night. Hopefully over a few weeks i can reduced the amount of rearing food i add and she will be eating just the egg.

Roxy,s Feathers
I am going to try mashing a egg very finely and mix with her rearing food and hope she does not notice.

Roxy,s Feathers
I went to the pet shop today and was looking at budgie products and talking to the bird expert. She was saying that nutritional deficiency can be caused by the gut not absorbing the nutrients and maybe i should try adding probiotics to her mix. I also saw omega3 & 6 nutitional supplement and it said it was used for better health and plumage condition. What do other members think of these products and would they benefit Roxy with her feather condition?

Roxy,s Feathers
I have tried mashed egg in her vegies but she did not like it. Where would i be able to buy powdered whole egg and would i mix it with her rearing soft mixture.

Position Of Breeding Box!
I am just wondering what is covering the sides and roof of the cage, it looks like plastic in the photo to me but maybe i am wrong.

Roxy,s Feathers
I was thinking it could have been nutritional because she has become a fussy eater. when i started weaning her was when the feathers started changing. She is still having her night cap because she does not eat enough seed or vegies during the day. When she goes through her first moult will the feathers improve.

Roxy,s Feathers
Roxy's feathers are looking scruffy and the blue pigment is going from them. Her tail feathers are also looking chewed. I have one budgie in the aviary with the same looking feathers on her tummy but her tail feathers are fine. I do not think it is mites because she is not scratching at all. Also if it was mites would not the 2 inside budgies that she is playing with at night have them as well. What could be another reason for it. They have been like it for a few weeks now.

I Need Help Asap
Just wondering Neat could you see the feathers mites on the budgie or is it only by damaged feathers you know you have mites.
