    Yah!!!
  2. I'm confused..... , but what I get sounds really great Julie!!! Who do you following in the footy? I'm a Cats (Geelong for those who don't know) supporter.
  3. I agree with the others... HE is a SHE!
  4. Good news. Hopefully the sick bird is getting treatment and hasn't been put down (unless that was the best thing for it )
  5. You've been given plenty of great advice already. I'll just add that he is a very handsome young boy and I'm glad he is starting to settle in. Well done on posting your photo too!
  6. Wow... that looks fantastic. Great job by you BOTH
  7. Looking great Derek!
  8. nice!!! Great for a good belly laugh...
  9. Hi Scott, Bernie and family. Welcome to this wonderful forum. I'm sure you'll feel right at home and get lots of great advice. Just remember to ask any thing at all and have FUN!!!
  10. Yep... I need one too... esp for those 'visiting' my aviary!
  11. ... very busy. But I did cheat with the hair removal thing... I used the cream. I don't tolerate pain very much, although I do have two tatoos, but that's a different sort of pain.
  12. Cute! My Grandpa has chickens on his farm and I remember collecting the eggs with him when I was young.
  13. I'd have to agree there Dave!
  14. THANKS EVERYONE!!!!!! Updates from yesterday... I'm hair free ... no need to say anymore!!! Today I had a busy day... Gave the birds a good clean out, sweep, dishes etc..., then I made myself a list and headed off for a couple of hours. First I went to an outdoor shop, where I got myself a money bag/bum bag for my money etc... to wear when out and about. I also got an electricity plug as we have three prongs here is AUS and Bali has two pins... Then I moved onto our local TARGET... where I finally found sound board shorts and a tank for my second pair of bathers. Bathers in April are as rare as hens teeth!!! Unless you want to pay $60 (which is said to already be 50% off!!!!). I also picked up some flat shoes and some chocolate (I'm a stressed woman, what can I say!!!) Next I popped into my sister's place for a donut and a coffee. Had a little play with my niece and nephew, explained to a three year old that I was going on holidays on a big Jumbo Jet and that no... I hoped I wouldn't see any sharks!!! :hap: Next stop was my local Reptile shop for globes and mealworms for Albert and Wilbur... the lizards. AND finally, the chemist... where I ended up getting my presciption, anti diarrhoea tablets (Bali belly etc), Travacalm for motion sickness and a few more medical supplies... This afternoon I moved my bird room around a little, putting in a shelf/bench, where my stool sits on. This also provides room to prepare things for my birds, and will be where I'll keep my breeding cage when I try and put Tweet Tweet and Crackle down again when I get back from holidays. That's all for now. I'm getting more excited now and there are only 4 and 1/2 days of work left!!!! FAN*****TASTIC!!!! I still have some bills to pay, forms to fill out, and instructions to write up for Dad (might do that tonight)... Cheers Maesie xxx
  15. That looks fantastic Deb. Good stuff. You could try pegging some Millet to it to get them to stay on it for a bit longer and associate treats with staying on there... or you could add some sort of tray/platter up high where you could offer fresh veggies or their favorite food. I'm sure they'll end up loving it and leave your furnature alone!!!
  16. Great as usual Chrys! You scrub up quite well now don't you... I mean for the ball not the arm up the cow's bum! :yellowhead: I knew I didn't have to study all those years to be a vet... I could just live my life through your's (Laughing out loud)!!!
  17. GREEN with envy Deb!!! :yellowhead: You lucky thing you... :yellowhead: I think I definately live in the wrong state... (Laughing out loud)
  18. That's great! It would be nice to be able to bring both Latte and Cookie in at the same time... I'm so jealous....they're all just so adorable. I miss breeding :budgiedance:

WOW!!!! They must have good reproductive organs, great diet and top class care! :budgiedance: I'm glad you were able to find fosters thus far and it sounds like she's doing well as a first time mum!
  20. Yah... It's all so exciting fro you all!!!
  21. No wonder you did so well. VERY nice looking birds!!!!
  22. I can't help you with your questions... but HOW CUTE ARE THEY!!!!!
  23. A Latte and a Cookie!!! What a great combination. Very sweet
  24. Thanks Chrissie, I was wondering how you and Percy were getting on. I'm glad he is back to HIS normal self... although not 100%. If there was only a solution to help his tummy!!! Poor guy. I'll keep sending you my thoughts and prayers that he continues getting better. I feed my birds pasta and lentils (with their vegies), which they seem to like. The lentils I cook in simmering water as per the packet... I think it's an hour and a half? I then freeze them so I've always got some on hand. Keep us updated on your precious little boy. Hugs Maesie xxx
  25. I've nearly lost fingers trying to cut corn on the cob in half!!! Now they get the whole thing on their hanging table!
