  1. The open hole is where the door was. It slid in from the side then was locked closed with a screw. Kaz actually used a screw in eyelet which made it really easy to open at home without having to hunt for a screwdriver :reading:
  2. Here is the box they came home in - there was enough room for maybe another 6 birds Its 45cm wide, 30cm deep by 16cm high They all traveled very well as there was no room for fights and it was nice and cozy that they all just huddled together and kept each other safe Here are the birds i missed yesterday, The hens are never as photogenic as the boys A Jeff Lloyd grey green hen from Libby A Cec Gearing Grey green Hen from Kaz A Sky blue hen who is unrung and very average but could help bring some blue to the genetics A grey green hen from Libby - this is the only bird who is looking under the weather from the trip she is getting TLC and i hope she brightens up soon

  9. Here they are, I snuck in this afternoon and took some snaps of them while they were taking their naps. I still haven't taken all of them, and the photos don't show them at their best as they are not in a show cage (still making it up), but it gives you picholics and idea of what came home with me  A young dominant pied cock The Sky blue Cinnamon spangle hen from Renee A Recessive pied hen from Libby A grey Green Dominant pied from Kaz A light green Cock from Kaz A opaline spangle cock from WABC A grey green Cock from Kaz A Grey green opaline Cock from Kaz A Light green cinnamon opaline cock from Kaz A Grey Spangle from Rob Dunstan - here you can see the huge difference a show cage makes to a birds appearance. 11. Thanks for keeping everyone updated Kaz. It has been a wonderful holiday and I am so happy with all the birds. They all made it home safe and they dont look too stressed considering the day they have had. Photos will come in the next few days - Promise :laughter:
  12. First baby looks to be a Recessive pied hen Second baby looks to be a normal violet cock Third looks to be a Golden face type 2 violet hen
  13. Here are a few newbies. A lovely hen from Renee A nice 08 YF grey cock from Bob Levy A handsome boy from another breeder that the name slips my mind at the moment I have 17 birds in total. I got 4 from Libby yesterday too. There are too many to catch and photograph at the moment so i have been slack and have only taken a few . i will take pics when i get home and the birds have settled in a bit. All birds are green, except for Renee's sky blue hen and a few greys. Because they are all from different breeders and places and are forced to all be kept together they have all started the 6 weeks of antibiotics to make sure there are no carriers of nasty diseases in the group.
  14. 90. When all your clothes end up on the floor because you used all the coat hangers as wire for the birds :party0011:
  15. and i have a -----> <----- from ear to ear!!!!!!!!!! I am sooooo in love with him :D Now on a mission to get him a nice normal blue hen.
  16. Today Kaz and I went to the seed supply shop and they happened to have some lovely culls that had come in. I bought this spangle boy and the pied behind him today. The pied kept hiding so i will get a picture of him tomorrow in better light, but the grey spangle is a stunning boy bred by Rob Dunstan. The father is an Armstrong bird, he is also a DF YF so will get lots of YF babies His name is Robbie

  21. I would say food dye is safe. Many bird toys bought from shops are coloured from food dye or non-toxic paints.... Blue is one of the hardest colours to get from natural sources. Blue berries maybe??
