Clearwing Surprise!
Noted.....thank you My "rainbow" pair were sold to me as badly marked clearwings, I guess they were fullbody greywings I was hoping to use them for breeding clearwings also, but probably best not to?

Clearwing Surprise!
Oh, just one more question please. I get that a full body greywing is a clearwing x greywing, would you get some clearwings from that if you put it to a clearwing again?

Hysterical!

Clearwing Surprise!
Wow, that's really interesting. Thank you so much for that. I have thought in my show breeding I would like to mostly focus on cleabodies (which I am having no luck with) and lacewings, which I have a start in. I really love the look of clearwings though but thought I dont want to diversify too much, but after reading that, I may persist with my clearwing line Thanks again for the info Elly, it was really worthwhile to me

Clearwing Surprise!
So can you tell me please, what would I expect by putting a dilute hen to a clearwing cock?
-
1 + 1 = ?
Yes, Len's cere looks multicoloured to me too, which could mean hormone issues as I have been informed. I have a gorgeous big cobalt spangle cock in my aviary which I unfortunately bought as a mistaken hen. Cocks ceres will change to a browner colour if they are "past it" or as I said before, it can be a sign of hormone imbalance. I also have lacewing spangles apparently. They are still lacewings, but their markings arent as good as a normal lacewing. I am breeding with them to hopefully get and keep the normals they throw.

Nesting Boxes
We use plastic nest boxes, but the ones we use, according to our supplier, are no longer available unfortunately. We are very happy with them though, as mentioned, the bonus is the ease of cleaning, as well as transparent slides to check on the birds.

Paired Outcomes?
I'm not sure if there is an explanation thread, but there are pinned threads of pictures of members birds who are specific mutations so you can see what the colour/mutation is referring to

Clearwing Surprise!
That made me laugh when I read it this morning :hap: I really love the dilute too Elly, I wish there was a place for showing her, but with clearwings, apparently the body colour needs to be strong and the wing colour as clear as possible. I will still keep her all the same

Clearwing Surprise!
LOL exactly......I need a new camera like Liv  I get way too many blurred shots lately, little wigglers!
-
Clearwing Surprise!
Thanks Liv and Kaz. All the blue babies arent looking too bad at so far It would be nice to get a group shot of them, but getting them all together in one place, other than in a cage is quite a handful! lol

Budgie Breeding
I have heard ino to ino makes a smaller bird too, but I have 2 pairs with eggs at the moment, so it will be interesting to see their outcomes - for me anyway

Young Kids And The Dentist
