How To Get The Police's Attention
It's true however! I know someone who called the cops as she thought someone was in her back yard they came the next morning while she spent the night sitting in the bathroom with a baseball bat. She should have done this instead!

Feather Problems
I agree with Neville it might be an old age thing. But as the other have said get her checked by a Avairn vet and go from there. Best of luck keep us updated.

More Budgies?
And that is only if you want to breed. This is my Patio/King Parrot Cage Four Bird go great in here, I know people that have had 6 in this cage but personally I think that is a little on the maximum size. I have had 10 birds in this cage but only for a night (due to high wings and bad weather) but there was A LOT of fighting and a few patch up in the morning so yeah if you want 4 - 6 this is the minimu size I would go.

Boarding In Sydney
I know a group called the "Friendly Bird Inn" who do boarding, never used them but have bought toys off the company and always been great to deal with. I would check them out.

My First Clutch At Almost A Month
I thought he/she was a hen as well but then I had a look over the weekend and thinking butter may be a boy. Ivan said to bring them up to him and he will have a look as he has about 40 years experience in this matter!

Fledging Chicks
I have also been told to put seed all over the floor of the cage so they don't have to go looking for food would this be a good idea or not? I am scared of them eating seed with poop on it.

Soft Shell Eggs
Neat, thanks. I think I have a UV lamp sitting around at home as I work during the day so can't get her outside and the weather is a bit all over the place at the moment. Thanks Kaz, you really are a wealth of Knowledge when it comes to think like this. Should I add the cock to the hospital cage as well as he is feeding her and looking after her and the cage is big enough?

Soft Shell Eggs
okay will do, I was just worried that she would hold the eggs if I remove the nest box and become egg bound but will transferr her to the hospital cage which is 95% done and will work for the time being. Thanks Kaz

Soft Shell Eggs
On Friday I got given two show types from a strange old man. The Cock is a nice normal grey, the Hen is an ugly looking thing and really nervous. he told me he thought she was sick as she has a large lump, so got them home and had a look at her and decided she looked like she had egg bum. Gave her a nest box and within 20 mins she laid a soft shell egg. It was really strange almost runny and fun to play with, anyway removed it. Added a larger cuttle bone to her cage (which she has almost eaten all of it!), gave calvet straight to the beak and also added it to her water. Sunday she had laid another egg again really soft. so wondering if there is anything else I could do to help her? She really likes her nest box and spends most of the time in there, the cock is going in and feeding her and they are a bonded pair which is good. Not really caring about getting eggs out of them but want to make sure she does not damage herself. Any suggestions as to what else I can give her or should I just wait and hope the eggs harden up. Oh also I have removed the second soft shell egg as I am sure it would not be viable and also they would break in the box and then I would have to clean it again!

Opinions On Putting Pairs Back Down
Well they don't have a nest box at the moment as I took it out. Will set them up in the new breeding boxes that Pippi gave me and I also put Pretty and Cloud down. The older two can stay inside and get handled some more and the younger two should be right to be split off in a weeks time. Hmmmmm just thinking of all the work I have to do tonight!

My First Clutch At Almost A Month
I could not ask for better parents, they are great, they push the bigger ones out of the way to make sure the younger ones get feed first. Jean has started to fly so going to give her a week or two and then clip her wings before she goes off to her new home. Head Case is thinking about flying lots of flapping but not much else. The two younger ones are still in the hide from the world and cuddle stage. I am thinking that Butter may be a boy but need some better pictures so going to try and take them over the weekend in the sun. Jean and Head Case are going to get a wake up call when they get moved out of the cage with their parents today or tomorrow as I think they are old enough to fend for themselves! Will post more pictures soon.

Black Cats Worst For Allergy Sufferers?
For me personaly we use to have a black and white cat that I could not go near however the tabby and the grey we had after him I never had an issue, I now have a white with tabby spots and a ginger and again don't have an issue unless they are molting so maybe I grew out of it.

Opinions On Putting Pairs Back Down
okay thanks, I am thinking of taking the oldest two out and just leaving the two yongest in with her and put her down in the new breeding cages that pippi so kindly left on my door step! the oldest two are flying and I am pretty sure are feeding themselves as they are both over 4 weeks old and just leave the bubs in with them for the next week or two.

Opinions On Putting Pairs Back Down
Blue and Flame have been great parents and soon their babies will go to their new home and I would love to get another clutch out of them. However I have been talking to people and there are differences in when to do this. So just wanting others opinions on when they do this? Do I give them a couple of weeks without the bubs, lots of calvet, fatten them up and then put them down again or so I wait a few months?

A Tough Parenting Choice
Jus found out how you can pay me back! Elmo can fly! Does not get much height but can fly distance freaks me out when he flys all over my study! So yeah you can come and be the mean person who clips his wings so I am the nice mummy who is not mean and wrap him in a towel!

Can I Find Budgies That Were Not Hand Reared?
Most breeders when they say handraised them mean that they have been handled from a very young age like mine. I make sure that from about the 10 day mark that they are handled each and every day so that they are use to humans handling them but I don't feed them their parents do that. It's people miss using the term.
