  2. There is a 50% chance its a hen I think it is a hen.

  5. Hens have a habit of biteing.They start when they are chicks & just keep biteing. Cock birds hardly ever bite,from my experince.
  6. You will have a 12.5% chance of breeding a Y/F recessive pie. By breeding your Y/F split rec pie to the grey recessive pie. There will also be 12.5% split rec pie in the nest. But you will have to wait till next year before you can breed your 3 month old yellow face. As he is to young at the moment to breed. Do you have a breeding cage & nest box to put,the hen & cock in for breeding.If not it might be just as easy to buy a Y/F Recessive Pie & save you the hassle. :feedbirds:

  14. Norm,If they are of show type,you might have to either trim or pluck the feathers from around the vent on the cock & hen.Sometimes they don`t breed in the first season,till they settle in .

  19. Denise,The meeting start at 7.30 pm..This months meeting is to order the rings,for next year & pay the BVC & club memberships.Its a no bird night.But you would bemade wellcome if you came along,its this tuesday night.

  21. Newen,I guess you want to put the Breeders aid in your soft Food.If you make up 500grams of soft food.You would add 10 mils of Breeder Aid to your 500grams of soft food.I hope that helps you Newen. :feedbirds:
  22. Breeders aid 20mils to the kilo.10mils=500grams.5mils=250grams.2.5mils=145grams. Nerwen. :(Laughing out loud):

If you are after club rings,you need to be a member of a club.If you just want rings to keep track of your birds.You can buy split rings to put on your birds, off the ebay in the pet section.10 rings for about $6.00.
