Hens have a habit of biteing.They start when they are chicks & just keep biteing. Cock birds hardly ever bite,from my experince.

You will have a 12.5% chance of breeding a Y/F recessive pie. By breeding your Y/F split rec pie to the grey recessive pie. There will also be 12.5% split rec pie in the nest. But you will have to wait till next year before you can breed your 3 month old yellow face. As he is to young at the moment to breed. Do you have a breeding cage & nest box to put,the hen & cock in for breeding.If not it might be just as easy to buy a Y/F Recessive Pie & save you the hassle. :feedbirds:

Norm,If they are of show type,you might have to either trim or pluck the feathers from around the vent on the cock & hen.Sometimes they don`t breed in the first season,till they settle in .
